After a viral marketing scheme by LionsHead Studios, we finally see what all the hub-bub was about. If you haven't been watching, the LionsHead website has been showing leaders of our time (Abraham Lincoln for example) and quotes underneath each one followed by a number. The numbers were counting down each day until today. Today also happens to be the opening day for GamesCom 2009. I Got A Great Big Bow Here

Hades Boss Fight Round 2 So on Monday we were able to give you a nice view of what the Lord of the Dead would be looking like. We've seen him only in a few minor shots in the God of War FMVs before that. But now we get one further peek at how this epic boss/boss fight will look and feel. All of this through some more screen shots from the game and what is being shown at GamesCom. I know it is all Hades vs. Kratos in those shots there, but it still looks amazingly stunning. Sunday: The Day of Rest...Kind of Given that this day should have been the lazy day, not Saturday, it is no surprise that the final day was even more lazy with a little bit of violence mixed in. Even though it was the day with the least going on, as has always been the case. But it did lead to a few interesting lessons learned about humans. They'll do anything for free stuff and most won't back up big talk when their bluff is called. Friday: XBox and PlayStation Day After fixing the few technical issues with Issue #1, we move onto the next day. A day dedicated primarily to what two of the largest companies and platforms brought to show off the gaming world. PlayStation and Xbox in case you couldn't figure it out. For some reason Nintendo was completely void of the con, outside of the companies showing off Wii and DS games they have coming out. But that's not the point here. Comic Con '09 Hands-On Impressions Dragon Age: Origins

After a short walk from the San Diego Convention center to the Hilton Gas Lamp, I found myself standing in line to play one of the most anticipated games this year at the EA games lounge. I received some free swag (blow up sword!) to get my excitement pumped up until I walked in the double doors and made a quick left to a PC version of Dragon Age: Origins. Brütal Legend Take Two As you may have known if you follow Corey or myself on Twitter at all, you would have seen how mush the PR train was rolling at Comic Con this year. It was Huge! But it wasn't just about the free stuff they were giving out or events they were putting on. They also had an updated version of the demo for this game. Dante's Inferno So at E3 this year, we were all given some great teases as to what to expect for Dante's Inferno from EA. All in the form of an extended trailer and a little bit of watching the designers play through a level showing off their game. No solid hands on experience, but it was still a great sight to see.
