Borderlands It was assumed that a new Borderlands was on its way but it has been confirmed that a new Borderlands is on the plate after Battleborn releases I was pretty certain that a new Borderlands was all but confirmed already as it has been such a well-received franchise but now we have a 100% confirmation that one is coming. At least it will be coming sometime after Gearbox has completed Battleborn and all of the DLC they have in the works for the title. But now all of you Borderlands fans can rest assured that we have another one coming at some point due to a nice little talk that happened at PAX East where the news and confirmation was put out there. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Another delay for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is on us as it looks like the team needs more time to perfect Mirror’s Edge Catalyst's social play feature Just when we were all going to get excited that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was almost here it looks like we are going to have to wait a bit longer. Mirror's Edge Catalyst The dates for the Mirror's Edge Catalyst closed beta have been set and we also get a nice long look at a mission from Mirror's Edge Catalyst A whole lot of new Mirror's Edge Catalyst news has just been dropped off here and one of the bigger things would be the dates for the closed Beta that was announced. It looks like DICE and EA have both agreed that April 22nd is going to be the start date and that the 26th is going to be the end date. Code for the closed beta for Mirror's Edge Catalyst will be going out for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions between the 22nd and 23rd for all of those who put their name in for a chance to help shape the way the social play system of the game works. Mirror's Edge Catalyst The story and world of Mirror's Edge Catalyst has been expanded yet again as we get a look at the factions in Mirror's Edge Catalyst's city of glass It looks like some more Mirror's Edge Catalyst new slid right by almost undetected. It seems that EA has updated the official website without huge word and they have detailed out more on the factions that are changing the game's world. By the looks of things DICE is putting a lot more thought into the story of Mirror's Edge Catalyst than just "these people are bad because we say so" as the last title had. Oculus While at CES 2016 I was able to play with the Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch in a more intimate setting than just a video. Here's my take on the Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch Obviously one of the big items around CES 2016 was the Oculus Rift; especially since it went up for pre-order and all of the new details cropped up just at the beginning of the show. That of course led to a whole lot of debate on if the Oculus Rift was going to be worth the $600 price tag out the door or if it was going to be another overpriced gizmo with a lot of buyer's remorse. This led me to take over the job of checking out the hardware of the Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch controllers to see if the price point made sense for where the system is now or if, like I said, it was something that could be left behind. Here's My Take On Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood It was only announced a few months ago but Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood was one of the huge titles on display at CES 2016 in Sony's VR section of their booth. PlayStation didn't have a huge section this year but this Supermassive Games spin off from the main title was one of the bigger things for the PS4 and PlayStation VR here. Star Wars Battlefront The first gameplay trailer for Star Wars Battlefront's upcoming DLC has been released and it shows off the new modes for Star Wars Battlefront as well as the new maps we get for free Tomorrow is the big day for all of those who pre-ordered Star Wars Battlefront as the Battle Of Jakku DLC will be out early for them. This will add two new maps and the previously mentioned Turning Point mode that DICE presented us all with last week.
