Skycast Episode Three: Levels 12-25
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 29th of November 2011 - 08:47 PM ]
Aggrogamer.com brings you the Skycast - a podcast involving all things Skyrim. Corey and Brian discuss levels 12 through 25 of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The guys have really begun to play completely different stories - Brian towards the magic side of things and Corey is following more of the main story. More legendary stories are afoot as Corey has a blackout experience in game and Brian is knee-deep in the undead. The guys also touch on their reactions to the palpable racism towards dark elves in the game. Read More…

Aggrocast Episode Ninety: Skyrim, Sequels And Series
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 28th of November 2011 - 10:14 PM ]
Matt joins Brian and Corey again for Aggrocast hijinks, including being completely disconnected from the call. The format jumps around as Brian and Corey wax poetic on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as they wait for Matt to return and they generally talk about what they've been playing including Batman: Arkham Asylum, WoW, Braid and Fusion: Sentient. We may have bounced around a bit, but your favorite features are still there. Care / Don't Care has the guys hitting up another eight topics and Community Spotlight shines on the Ghoul Girls. Trailer Park 11/22/11
by Matt Waitt [ Tuesday, 22nd of November 2011 - 05:37 PM ]
Since last week's installment of Trailer Park was non-existent, I believe you guys are overdue for a new set of trailers. First up we have a new trailer for EA's SSX coming out on February 14th, 2012. The trailer shows off a lot of game play footage that looks just as insane and hilarious as previous installments, Doing the "Worm" on a snowboard and twirling around like a helicopter are just a couple of the nut job tricks showcased in the trailer. If you plan on pre-ordering SSX then I have some great news for you - pre-order bonuses! If you pre-order from Origin you will get Elise's "elite" snowboard along with a "bonus" boost. Read More…

Review: Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of November 2011 - 05:50 PM ]
Well, it's that time of year again. Leaves are falling. It's getting colder. And like clockwork, a new Call Of Duty has hit the streets. Not that I should really have to say it, but that would be Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for those who didn't see the title or clicked in at random. That also means it is time for us to review this little title and see if it should be a game you add to your home collection. The Story Everything picks back up right after Modern Warfare 2. If you recall, those crazy Russians are still running amok and fucking up everyone's good time. Read More…

It's Templar Week In The Secret World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of November 2011 - 11:28 PM ]
Yea, I'll admit that sounds a lot like Shark Week on the Discovery channel, but damn it, Funcom wants to get some more info about The Secret World out to all of you. I am just trying to help them in this task. TSW does look like it can end up being one of the coolest MMO's out there. At least when it finally launches. Below you can peruse some new screen shots and concept art for the game and one of the three factions players will get to be part of. As you should have already guessed this week's faction is the Templars. Read More…

Don't Forget Assassin's Creed Revelations Is Coming Out Next Week
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of November 2011 - 05:31 PM ]
With all the games that we have/will be bombarded with in the short time frame, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Need For Speed: The Run, Saints Row: The Third and Halo Combat Evolved to name a few, let's not forget Assassin's Creed: Revelations is also in the mix - coming up here on the 15th to be exact. I personally haven't seen all that much effort to drive the date home and this is one of my favorite franchises recently. I figured I'll give a little bit of (our) site time to the game. Read More…

Michael Bay Directed Need For Speed: The Run Commercial
by Bryan Ray [ Thursday, 10th of November 2011 - 10:16 PM ]
I don't know how but I managed to stumble across a television commercial for a game series I forgot existed, the Need For Speed franchise. This one is about the latest one, Need For Speed: The Run. The commercial hit like one for a large Hollywood blockbuster. If it weren't for the CGI people you would have a hard time convincing me that this was for a video game. This is likely because it was directed by the one and only Michael Bay, who can tell a story with explosions like no other. The environments and vehicles look phenomenal! Read More…

The World Of Skyrim - Reaching New Heights
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 9th of November 2011 - 10:47 PM ]
The latest developer's diary is up at the Elder Scrolls Community page, and this time we are taken into the world of Cyrodiil and we see this world brought to life. Full of character and lush landscapes, this massive world is a time sync TES fans know and love. If you haven't checked it out yet I also recommend for the more technical reader to check out the brief history of Cyrodiil. This way you can see how a game world takes shape from a more technical aspect. It's amazing the detail that this team has brought into the world. Read More…

Trailer Park (11/9/11)
by Matt Waitt [ Wednesday, 9th of November 2011 - 05:47 PM ]
Alright it's time for the next installment to Trailer Park! First up we got a magnificent trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii, showing off some beautiful landscapes and scenery featured in game, as well as some game play and story elements all to a gorgeous orchestral number. Now I sadly will not be getting Skyward Sword, as much as I would like to simply because I don't have a Wii and I really don't plan on ever getting one. A heavy price to pay to miss out on this gorgeous looking game. Read More…

Of course you did if you are browsing this site. Be it a fan of the franchise or not, you know it launched today. If not, welcome to the internet and the modern age. You've missed a lot while you were holed off from the world or in the middle of M. Night Shamalama-ding-dong's Village. So what is the point here? I know you are thinking that. This is my obligatory "Did You Know The Game That Almost Every Gamer Is Clamoring For Modern Warfare 3 Launched" article. Read More…

A Moment of your Time...
by Bryan Ray [ Tuesday, 8th of November 2011 - 01:21 AM ]
Greetings fellow gamers! If I could have a brief minute, I would like to tell you about myself. My name is Bryan Ray, frequently referred to as King Xanadu, and I will be writing for Aggrogamer over the next several months. (Perhaps years? I like the thought.) I play mostly XBox 360 though I do have a Steam account for my dated laptop (It's old enough to have a “supports Windows Vista” sticker on it) but I don’t use it as much as I’d like. I love music, a lot. So much that I am currently attending college for it. Read More…
