by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of March 2008 - 03:57 PM ]
Wii Head Tracking powers new 3D game Not the most creative of titles, but, well...whatever. A long while back, before we had the Narticle section, I posted a bunch of things about the Wii and PS-Eye head tracking systems that people are working on. They were just basic tracking things that would move just some dots or basic targets on the screen depending on where your head is. The Wii had a set of glasses for this. They looked very clunky and a lot like the old VR goggles of yore. Read More...

The Nintendo DS and YOU!
by [ Monday, 10th of March 2008 - 05:26 PM ]
When browsing through the various console sections at the local Best Buy, a gamer is likely to pass up the Nintendo DS, chalking it up to child's play given the exorbitant amount of games based on children's movies for the system. And after all, who can really trust the credibility of a handheld that comes in PINK? However, this fangirl is about to tell you exactly why the DS is the most multi-faceted system available on the market, and one of the best investments you can make with your hard earned gaming allowance. To me, the Nintendo DS (and when I say that, I mean my DS Lite) is like my Ipod. Read More...

THQ Has Spirit, How About You?
by Trina [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 05:57 PM ]
THQ announces All Star Cheer Squad for the Wii and DS Okay get ready to roast me, but I am completely intrigued by THQ's announcement of All Star Cheer Squad for the Wii and DS. As a former cheerleader, I can't help but giggle as I imagine people cheering with Wii-mote in hand in the their living room. Players will enter into the world of competitive cheer leading as seen in Bring it on. "With the explosive growth of the girls gaming market in recent years due to the continued success of Wii and DS, our ongoing goal is to stay at the cutting edge of that success by bringing a brand new property for this segment to these popular systems," said Jim Huntley, director of global brand management, THQ. Romantic Hacks The DS To Pop The Big Question Now here's something positive coming out with all the negative press the gaming community gets. And Gods know we need it. But in any instance, a man decided to find another unique way of popping the question to his betrothed. He hacked into the DS and created a version of Bejeweled and sent it to his love. She opened it, and start playing the game only to find that after racking up a certain score, the screen shifted and a grouping of blocks in the shape of a ring dropped onto the screen. That's when he actually asked the big question. Read More...

Double Axe For Wii
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2008 - 06:17 PM ]
Guitar Hero III Gets New Pack So you might have heard or been mixed up in the fiasco of the Mono-sound issue with the Wii version of the game. If you signed up for the replacement disc, I'm sorry for you since that doesn't seem to be going to well, at least from what has been reported to me. I hear it is a long turn around time to get your disk shipped back to you. So you might want to pick up another game in the mean time to fill the void of the wait. No More Heroes is a good choice, but I digest. Read More...
