It is now OFFICIAL! Square-Enix has confirmed that Chrono Trigger DS will be hitting the U.S. just in time for the 2008 holiday season. Kotaku broke the story with the official press release. It will incorporate the Dual Screen and Touchpad of the DS while keeping the integrity of the original game in tact. They will also be adding on a brand new dungeon for the upcoming DS release. You will also be able to hook up friends for wireless multiplayer battles. Read More...

Sega Creates Robot Girlfriend Well someone had to do it. And who other than those wacky Japanese engineers. The video below is of a functional robot called E.M.A. That's Eternal Maiden Actualization. This last weekend, I joined my fellow A-KON 19 goers in a gathering of monsterous proportions. After 3 long hours of waiting, dehydration, an upset firemarshal and plently of waiting in line, 669* of us broke the record, "MOST PEOPLE DRESSED AS VIDEOGAME CHARACTERS IN ONE GATHERING". Now although the number was only 669*, I can assure you that the total number of people qualified at the con was in the 1,000s.I was proud to be amongst the many who went through an afternoon of choas to get the job done. Late last week Dengeki announced that the Official Site for the To LOVE[Ru] games was revealed. Along with it, the covers of both games have debuted as well as release dates. The DS version, entitled "To LOVE[Ru] Forest School Compilation" will be released first and will be using the Stylus and Touch Screen in a similar manner as the Doki Doki Majo Shinpan! titles. Recently I wrote an article about the revealing of SNK's Doki Doki Majo Shinpan! 2 Duo cover image, and SNK didn't stop there. Not only did they show off some new in game screen caps, they have announced the bonus materials available to those who order the Limited Edition of the game. First off, you will find two chibi figures of one of the new characters in the game and returning favorite, Maho (in her signature cheerleading outfit). Another item included with be a "Pupil Log" with information and images of various students and characters that appear in the game. Well Square Enix brings a new IP to the Nintendo DS, which replaces the tape with a note. You play as a young college student whom receives a note, known as "The Game Of The Curse" along with friends that says you must pass this on to someone else or die within 7 days. You don't take it seriously until one of your friends dies in a tragic death after receiving the same note. Now you must try and figure out the curse as you are approaching your turn to die. While we knew when Tecmo decided to announce Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff for the DS, they couldn't use the NFL license for teams and players thanks to EA holding the exclusive rights. But when fans petitioned for everyone's either favorite or most despised player in Tecmo Bowl history, Bo Jackson, Tecmo came out stating he will not appear in the game, nor any retired players for that matter. Anyone who played Tecmo Super Bowl knows that Bo Jackson became the game's standout icon as he was virtually unstoppable, and everyone remembers the fights over who would play as (Does best Chris Berman Interpretation) DA RAIDAHZ!! Well as many of us know, I'm a regular at the Dallas based anime convention A-kon. A-Kon, for those of you who don't know, is also the lonest running Anime Convention in America. It's one of the largest too. Recently the people over at A-KON anounced incredible news. A-kon is going to attempt to break The Guinness Book record for most 'Most Video Game Costumes in One Place'.
