The Wizard of Oz is a turn based RPG title following the adventures of the Dorothy, Toto, Tin-man, Scarecrow, and Lion. I'm sure we all know the story, but this game is sure to twist it around and make it it's own. Something that could probably be a good thing. Dorothy is tasked at defeating three witches with the reward being a trip back home to Kansas.
Gameplay is controlled by the stylus, except for movement which can be controlled by a trackball on the screen. The faster you spin the trackball, the faster Dorothy runs. This game looks lush and vibrant, colorful and probably some of the better visuals seen on the Nintendo DS.
New players to the RPG turn based world need not worry. The game is quite accessible to all my fellow noobs out there, but classic RPG players will find the depth at which to customize game play equally as challenging and fun. Turn based combat can be suggested by the DS for easy one-touch play, or players can manually customize every aspect of combat.
And after all of that, I leave you with the trailer so you can see how it's going to look. I definitely think this is gonna be worth picking up. With a $29.99 price tag on it, you really can't complain much.
