ScreamRide Is Coming & We'll Be Able To Scare Riders Sooner
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
ScreamRide has a new launcher trailer and a bit of information on the Demo that is available today for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 ScreamRide had to be one of the more bizarre titles I saw at E3 during the Microsoft Conference. This would be the title from Frontier Developments where we will get to make some insane roller coaster or amusement rides all in the vein of generating screams. More or less a torture simulator when you split hairs only that the NPCs involved in the game don't seem to get injured and love being placed in life-threatening situations. Most people wouldn't find ScreamRide fun, I would think, if there were truly being injured. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 2/9/15 — 2/13/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 14th of February 2015 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Way to wrap a week in video games on a high not right? With Valentine's Day tomorrow I was expecting things to be very slow and filled with the normal PR bullshit that game developers and publishers send out. You know those little images and quick videos to show how much they supposedly care outside of just wanting our money. 2K was doing is all week for Borderlands. Instead of just all of that though we ended with a nice new Valentine's Day trailer for Until Dawn and some cool Mortal Kombat news. Read More...

Until Dawn Has A Different Kind Of Valentine's Day Massacre
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
A Valentine's Day trailer for Until Dawn has been released by Supermassive Games to show a lovely side Until Dawn may have Love is supposedly in the air as tomorrow is Valentine's Day so what better way to show your affection than by seeing a new trailer for Until Dawn. Love or Lust are always part of horror films and video games so why not see how Supermassive Games is going to set the stage so we can follow the horror movie rules when Until Dawn comes home sometime this year. It wouldn't be the classic horror story if we didn't have teens or early tweens trying to bump uglies and let's face it, Valentine's Day is truly all about that. I guess I am just trying to further make sense as to why this PS4 title needs a trailer on the day before V-day. Read More...

Hitman: Agent 47 is the reboot film for the franchise and we have the first trailer now and it looks rather good Before you get too excited Hitman: Agent 47 is not the title for the new Hitman title being made by Square Enix and Io Interactive. We still have some time to wait for that trailer. Hitman: Agent 47 is the new film for the franchise that is more of a re-boot to the cinematic universe for the Hitman franchise. Bethesda Is Hosting Their Own E3 Conference
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
Bethesda announced today that they will be holding their own press conference at E3 2015 but with no details about what will be shown It looks like Bethesda wants in on all of the E3 fun of hosting their own press conference as the publisher just announced on their blog that they would be doing just that. No longer will they be held to just a booth and a kick-ass off site party/get-together at E3. They will be taking a stage and showing off what they have in the works for the coming years and most likely announcing a few things we all may have been wanting for a while. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of February 2015 - 08:01 PM ]
DmC: Definitive Edition is getting Vergil's Bloody Palace mode and we have a few new details on what this mode will include for the DmC fans out there Apparently Vergil's Bloody Palace was one of the biggest requests that fans of DmC had for the DmC: Definitive Edition. Ninja Theory heard that request and it is in the game. This is not a huge secret as it was listed in the additions for the DmC: Definitive Edition coming to the Xbox One and PS4 on March 10th. There were just very few details if it was going to be more than just another character playing through the same mode that was already in the game to start with. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
New rumors out there is a Legend Of Zelda live action show is being developed by Netflix from the Wall Street Journal It's only been seven years since we had that IGN April Fool's joke about there being a live action Legend Of Zelda film in the works so it is about time we get that all spinning up again right? Of course it is. Only this time it isn't April Fool's Day and this doesn't look like some elaborate hoax to generate web traffic to the IGN website. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 2/2/15 — 2/6/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 7th of February 2015 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Well that was a fun and stressful week for video games and for us. It may look like we favored the same small group of games all week but in all honesty Mortal Kombat X, Game Of Thrones, and Dying Light just had so much to cover. Hells we even had three reviews this week and two of them were in that short list you just read. Nothing like being able to keep us all up to date on titles that are currently out there hoping to win over the collective and ever black hearts of us gamers huh? Read More...

Review: Game Of Thrones — The Lost Lords
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of February 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Game Of Thrones — The Lost Lords. This is the second episode of Telltale's take on HBO's famed TV franchise. Here's our review on how they've done so far The release of Game Of Thrones — The Lost Lords has come and now we have Telltale's second episode for the six part story that links into the TV Show from HBO. The first episode was a bit on the slow side and stayed safe with all of the standards that have been set up via Telltale's normal storytelling structure but did this episode follow suit? Or did The Lost Lords break free of the iron bonds and give us something really new to experience with Game Of Thrones? Read More...

Final Fantasy XV Has A Bit More Gameplay Being Shown
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of February 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
A little more gameplay for Final Fantasy XV has been released to help promote Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and the demo given with that game Square Enix is really pushing for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD to sell well. Especially when it comes with the Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae demo in the mix. In fact in the latest trailer for the game there is quite a bit of new gameplay footage for Final Fantasy XV added to the end for all of us more excited for that game to watch with shock and awe. Well, more awe than shock as it all looks like more generic scenes for Final Fantasy XV but damn do they all look pretty. There is even a better look at Cidney and how spectacular and easy it can be to model and animate the female form even though her's is an idolized Western version of said form. Read More...

Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp Has Its…Well…Slasher Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of February 2015 - 10:01 PM ]
Horror legend Kane Hodder has joined up to be the killer in Slasher Vol. 1: Summer Camp to kind of reprise his role from films I feel bad for just now catching wind of Summer Camp and its early development. I blame titles like Last Year and Until Dawn for taking the spotlight in the realm of classic horror film style games and Summer Camp falling through my cracks when it was announced last October. Especially now that I know that this is more or less going to have Jason in it even though it won't be by name. We will have the ability to control the movements from the man who made that role so iconic in Summer Camp on the PS4, XB1, and PC so we can look past the fact that there is a Friday The 13th game in the works for now. Review — Dying Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of February 2015 - 10:02 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Dying Light. They've nailed the open world zombie game already but can they do it again? Here's Our Review Dying Light has been one of those most anticipated titles for 2015 and the time has come to see if Techland could hit another home-run in the zombie outbreak genre of video games. This time it not only builds off a formula that they set up but adds in the mix of parkour and a day/night cycle aiming to make Dying Light a truly horrifying, exciting, and story driven title that we all will want to play for days and nights to come. Did they hit the mark again or does Dying Light just keep the genre shuffling on? Read More...

Ready Or Not, Evolve Is Coming For Us All
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of February 2015 - 06:01 PM ]
We have a new live action trailer for Evolve and it looks cool but has a creepy feel for those who may not know what the game is about Here we go with another live action trailer and this one is for Evolve. As would normally be the case I would harsh on a live action trailer here but for this game I'll give it kind of a pass as we have been inundated with gameplay and information for Evolve for so long. If you haven't seen any gameplay or even played the game slightly on the PS4, Xbox One, or PC then you most likely don't care about Evolve at all and clicked in here because you are doing a school report on evolution. Thanks for the click. Read More...

Review — Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of February 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Saints Row IV: Re-Elected. Do the better graphics and hardware give the game new life? Here's Our Review Here we go again with another HD remastered title in the way of the Saints Row IV: Re-Elected edition. We rather enjoyed our first trip through Saints Row IV but seeing as it released a few months before the next gen consoles launched it kind of missed that whole audience and technological advances. I guess that is why Deep Silver and Volition wanted to make sure we all got a chance to fully experience the game they wanted to make. Well, we gave it a try and we'll see if Saints Row IV: Re-Elected is worth the money for the latest edition and new audience; also if there is something early adopters missed out on the first time in 2013.
