All things must come to an end and in this case it is the expanding world of The Evil Within. At least as this part of the franchise goes. The last bit of DLC, The Executioner, is coming on May 26th from Bethesda and Tango Gameworks and will let you play as none other than The Keeper. This would be the creature better known as Boxman by the internet and fans of The Evil Within. I guess that is one way to go out with a bang here but let's hope it is enough to drive the publishers to want The Evil Within 2 or some other spin off to make a true franchise.
Interestingly enough The Executioner looks to be the first major bit of DLC for The Evil Within that does not have any more to do with the core story. At least there was no word that there was another episode of side-story being told. This will just allow you to take one of The Evil Within's scarier monsters into a series of battle arenas where you will have to face hordes of other monsters in a first person extravaganza. All while trying to piece together the history of The Keeper from The Evil Within. All of this is done though upgrading the spiked hammer and other weapons as you progress.
If you didn't pick up the season pass for The Evil Within but still want to experience this extra bit then you can head over to whichever store you need to and purchase The Executioner by itself for $4.99 USD. Although I would like to add that all of the other story bits are completely worth it for the $19.99 USD price tag that would net you all three bits of DLC for The Evil Within. Then again, you are not me and may only want to go through the killing rampage of The Keeper and not care about anything else. More power to you in the end. None the less you can have at it on May 26th.
