With the crazy amount of news coming out of Gamescom this year, even a little teaser trailer of the recently announced Torchlight 2 is generating plenty of buzz. Besides showing some outdoor environments, there really isn't a whole lot shown here, but the teaser did absolutely everything it needed to accomplish - raise the level of excitement and anticipation. Looks like players of Lord of the Rings Online will not have to wait much longer for the highly anticipated Free-to-Play content update. Today it was announced that Turbine will be releasing the update on September 10th. The entire free-to-play structure has been under close scrutiny by fans and the press alike. In the tradition of Blizzard releases, today the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Collector's Edition was announced. Collectors of the World of Warcraft series will not be disappointed because everything Blizzard does for its fans is all here - from a full color art book to a starter deck of World of Warcraft TCG (featuring Worgen for the first time). Not long ago BioWare announced Dragon Age II with a website and more recently a good amount of information from hands-on previews and a full article in Game Informer. At the EA press conference in Cologne Germany during Gamescom, EA gave us our first look at the cinematic trailer for Dragon Age II and it is definitely worth watching. The trailer is titled "Destiny" and it is a spectacle to behold; nothing less should be expected from BioWare. Last we left this extremely odd couple, they were fleeing for their life with Kane's daughter not too well off. Now, from what you have seen so far of the story, it is years later and the two seem to have become closer even over international lines. At least it seems they are closer because I know I wouldn't want to go meet up with a psychopath that moved to China unless I had a better bond than "We Broke Out Of Jail Together." Earlier, we got to see some new screen shots for Deus Ex. Really nice shots. In fact, to me they looked like they were taken from another hi-res trailer we would be getting in the near future. Team 17 has been busy lately. On the heels of their recent release of the Steam title, Alien Syndrome, Team 17 returns to its roots to bring us Worms Reloaded. Worms Reloaded will be released on the Steam platform, and from the looks of the video below, we are getting a revved up version of the 2D classic. Worms Reloaded will feature a number of new weapons, tactics and features, along with some classics like the Holy Hand Grenade and rope swinging. Old school players will be happy to see that the hilarious and addictive game play is still intact; new players, on the other hand, will be introduced to one of the most entertaining tactical games ever to grace the PC. BioShock fans can rejoice, at least a little bit. While the final DLC pack for BioShock 2 is on its way here in the coming months, it has been officially been announced that the franchise will live on. While wandering about the show floor of SOE's Fan Faire, I stumbled upon something I have not had a good look at in almost a decade: Magic: The Gathering. In the latest Game Developers Diary for the much anticipated action FPS Brink, we learn the story behind the Ark. This post apocalyptic battle rages within this compound which houses way more citizens than it was designed for. So now this takes us to the story line, which is the turtle vs. the hare. You have on one side the resistance camp that is out of resources due to overpopulation, and think that the islands security has been hoarding their resources, and need to start sharing the wealth. Looks like today is day for everything Fable 3. First pumping news and trailers, now we have information on pre-order content. Microsoft announced today the 'Fable 3 Villager Maker.' Players that pre-order the game will be able to build and import your own character into the game, along with some other interesting features. "Your custom in-game villager will deliver to your hero a thrilling new quest and 1,000 gold fortune, and then continue to interact with you on your journey to become ruler of Albion." Microsoft is boasting that there are more that 2,000 combinations players can take advantage of - including back story, personality traits, gender, clothing, accent, hair and geographic origin (where in the world of Albion your character came from).
