by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 13th of March 2021 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Well, that certainly was a week and we are now over with it to go and enjoy some of those video games out there. Something I know I can personally need after some of the things going on out there in general. If only we did not need to wait for Evil Genius 2 and Hood to launch out there in some time and could dive into them now. I guess this is why we have a few of the other video games to enjoy and waiting to see more for It Takes Two and Aliens: Fireteam to come out over the next stretch of time. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of March 2021 - 10:00 PM ]
Aliens Two of the Aliens: Fireteam character classes are shown off so we can see how it will bring more of the Aliens IP over to this title We might have only just been introduced to Aliens: Fireteam not that long ago, but that does not mean that Cold Iron Studios is not ready to dump the details on us all. In fact, we have over a half-hour of gameplay to look and digest here just from this week alone. Some of which take a bit of a dive into two of the five character classes we will get to play as in Aliens: Fireteam. Read More...

It has been a fun one yet again and the fact that we had a whole lot of VR titles show up this week is rather exciting. I have been looking forward to the Wraith: The Oblivion game for a while now and now we get to add DOOM 3 into the mix too. All to keep us distracted from things and waiting for all of the other video games we have coming too. Read More...

Aliens: Fireteam Is Going To Have Us Survive The Hive Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of March 2021 - 06:00 PM ]
Alien The announcement for Aliens: Fireteam is here and looks to bring us back into the action of the Alien franchise yet again Talk about an announcement I did not see coming, as we now have the official announcement here for Aliens: Fireteam that is heading to us this Summer. Do not think that this is going to be something that is going to keep the survival horror aspect of the game we saw in the last title. It looks like Cold Iron Studios is taking us back into the action of it all as we have to face off with the titular Alien out there from the film franchise. All in the role of a Colonial Marine in a third-person shooter on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Read More...

Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That is one more week of video games in the bag and it is nice to be over for now. Even if there was only a slight tease with a new Half-Life here and then the rest of the fun that has rolled out there. You know, other little things like all of the Switch announcements for Alien Isolation, Trover Saves The Universe, and Samurai Shodown that we had to take in. All of the video games are flowing out there and thankfully more VR ones too. Read More...

Alien Isolation Could Have Been A Third Person Experience
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of March 2015 - 08:01 PM ]
Early footage of Alien Isolation has popped up to show that we could have experienced the whole game in a third person mode instead Hopefully by now you've had a chance to experience Alien Isolation from Sega and Creative Assembly. It was and still is a spectacular addition to the franchise and well worth the price of purchase. It had all the fear in the right place. It had all the action in the right place. Read More...

PlayStation Experience Hands On — Apotheon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
While At The PlayStation Experience I Was Able To Check Out Apotheon; A Side Scrolling Title That Lets You Play As The Greeks Told Stories Apotheon was a title I heard about via the PlayStation Blog and something that piqued my interest from the start. In all honesty it has been the visual style of the game as well as the premise that Alien Trap is going for with this little PC/PS4 title coming out next year. It was these things that forced me to track the team down at the PlayStation Experience and actually get Apotheon in my hands to give it the really godly test as I should. There is a whole level dedicated to my main man after all. Read More...

The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off What Happens When All Chances Are Used Up The reviews for Alien Isolation are starting to pour in and your last chance to pre-order what looks to be an amazing title is running out. Just like Amanda's life in the most recent and final video in the "How Not To Play" Alien Isolation video series to prep us all for the game's release on October 7th. That is when we will really see if Sega and Creative Assembly have been able to make up for the franchise's failing in the past. That is starting to sound like a broken record so let's just move on. Light Up And Get Stomped Out In Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of October 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off Why Lighting Up Will Only Lead To You Getting Stomped Out Well it looks like things have just gone from bad to worse in the Alien Isolation "how not to play the game series" as now we are seeing blatant things most of gamers would never do in a game. At least if you watch the latest two videos from Creative Assembly and Sega just on that. We have one where Amanda chooses to use a flare to distract the Alien but then stupidly runs over an active android for a tag-teamed death. Read More...

Controlling the Crowd & Hiding Won't Help In Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off How hiding and crowd control won't help you survive the game Looks like we have a few more ways on how to not play Alien Isolation here for our viewing pleasure to burn out the week we have until launch. This time around Creative Assembly and Sega are pin pointing that there really is nowhere safe on the Nostromos. Not only that but we will have to herd humans and androids alike to make sure that Amanda makes it out of there alive. This of course is not new information for Alien Isolation but it is a new look at the challenges and gameplay we will come to expect. Read More...
