Alien: Rogue Incursion Teases Us With Some New Gameplay

Alien

A first look at gameplay for Alien: Rogue Incursion is here to show off how scary this Alien is going to be in VR

After a solid reveal for Alien: Rogue Incursion, we would have liked to see a release date beyond Holiday 2024 for the game to land on the PSVR2 and PC VR, but we are still waiting on that. We do have a much better thing for it all, though, as Survios has finally given us our first taste of the gameplay we can expect in the game. A nice little bit of gameplay as it can be hard to give a true feeling for the VR space in a 2D video, but we have it. Get ready to have this alien and all of the other creep factors turned up for this one. Let us have our first look at the gameplay we can expect when this one drops on us out there.

This little bit of gameplay we have for Alien: Rogue Incursion is just that. A little bit. Little, but still gives us a look and feel for the environments in the game and how some of the creatures will be reacting in the game as we stumble our way through. A lot like we have seen in the films and other horror versions of the Alien IP out there in the past. All of that and the xenomorph is doing its best predator impression by roaring at us in the VR space before trying to pounce on us. A weird thing for it to do given how it has acted in the past, but it was a choice and will hopefully give us some truly startling moments when we play the game. Have a look and see how it hits for you.

Are you ready for the terrors that await?

It is going to be hard to judge Alien: Rogue Incursion at this point, for us, since this is a little slice and not much else is going on with it. In fact, if I did not know this was for the VR title that is coming, I would have thought this was a slice of footage from Isolation or a similar game. That is, it does not read like its own thing as of yet. This is just a first look at Alien: Rogue Incursion, though, so it will get a pass for now. It feels like it fits the IP it just has not been able to show me how it is going to stand on its own and not be pulled into the orbit of the other titles instead.

What do you think about the first look we have for this Alien game and does it feel different for you? Will the full game add in things we have truly never seen before to the IP or will it follow the same beats just in the VR space? Is it odd to see the xenomorph roaring like this in the game or is this their take on some of the other creepy scenes we have seen in the films in the past? Sneak on down to the comment section to let us all know what you are thinking about this one and everything else still to come. There will be a lot more for Alien: Rogue Incursion as we get new things, so please keep on coming back to see and hear about all of that as we head forward.
