This Week In Video Games 4/23/18 — 4/27/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of April 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week That is one more week of video games in the bag and it was, as we assumed, a little on the light side of things. I do not think anyone really wanted to go up against the power of God Of War. Well, except Tomb Raider that just had a nice new reveal for the game. It was more on the smaller or indie video games for the week but we did get to see that Jurassic World Evolution will be bringing a bit more of the franchise with it and more for Detroit: Become Human. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of April 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
H1Z1 The original standalone battle royale game, H1Z1, is coming to the PS4 soon and there will be a closed beta for H1Z1 coming this May For those PS4 gamers out there who felt like they have been missing out on the H1Z1 fun and need another Battle Royale title to add into the mix, as it is getting closer to a full launch now on the platform. I say this as Daybreak Games has not announced a solid release date for the game to come, but we have open and closed betas coming at us here real soon so we should expect a final build just around the corner. At least if this version of H1Z1 goes anything like the PC version. Read More...

In H1Z1 You Can Either Just Survive Or Become King Of Killing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of February 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
H1Z1 H1Z1 has now been officially split into two different titles, H1Z1: Just Survive & H1Z1 King Of The Kill, but will all be taking place in the same world It's been some time since we had some coverage for H1Z1 here and it looks like we are back in with a huge one as it looks like the game has now been split into two distinct titles on the PC through Steam Early Access. In case you didn't remember H1Z1 was the zombie MMO title that was in the works by SOE who later became Daybreak Games. I guess it just runs in their path that things get split but it looks like this could lead to H1Z1 becoming the kind of game that each fan may truly be wanting. Read More...

Here Is A Whole Lot More H1Z1 Gameplay To Feast Your Eyes On
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of May 2014 - 09:02 PM ]
SOE recently hosted a 12-hour H1Z1 livestream event and here are some of the gameplay highlights from what was shown. Some of you may have heard about and watched the H1Z1 livestream that SOE put on last week. Some of you may have missed it. The last subgroup may have caught parts of it but were unable to dedicate the entire twelve hours to watching all of the pre-alpha gameplay and development that is going into H1Z1. Personally I fell into the last group. Fear not though, we have some of the better highlights of the stream for you to catch up and stay on par as the zombie MMO moves toward a golden status. A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming. This has been one bipolar week for gaming news hasn't it? Maybe you haven't seen anything yet so you might not know but below is yet another list of what we covered in the world of gaming. It started out slow, then picked up, then dropped off again. The world of gaming all wrapped up with a confirmation of two things; Mad Max is still coming although late and that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will have Carnage as one of the prime villains of the game. Those were the most recent items in this week of gaming but we also got the rumor that there would be a Resident Evil 7 announced as soon as E3 and a whole lot going on in the world of Watch_Dogs. Here Is A Nice Long Look At H1Z1, The Zombie MMO From SOE
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Recently two of the developers for H1Z1 took us through a play through of an early build of the game. Just in case you do not have all the time in the world to dedicate to seeing all of the videos and streams for H1Z1 we have a nice long one for you to see below. Jimmy Whisenhunt (Game Designer) and Tom Schenck (Technical Director) sat down and played a nice 50 minute session of H1Z1 on Twitch recently to show off what the game will have to offer. At least in the form of the "higher action" of the game and not the hours of scavenging that will be needed to survive in the world. As should be warned this is a pretty early build of H1Z1 but there is a good look at the mix of first person and third person action. Read More...

The President of SOE, John Smedley, has brought the internet H1Z1; a new zombie survival MMO. Welcome to Woodbury H1Z1, the new Zombie themed MMO straight out of Sony Online Entertainment. That is just what we all need in our lives right now huh? The only thing is that H1Z1 sounds like it is building off all of the other 'zombie' games and media out there to try and give us the experience we are all pining for apparently. Let's dig into what we know so far to help better get a grasp on H1Z1. First and foremost H1Z1 is going to be a free to play game based on the engine that powers Planetside 2. Read More...
