As it would seem the case we are going to be looking at another smaller title, Caffeine, due to all of the focus elsewhere in the gaming industry today. Some of you may have heard about it. Some of you may not have. No matter the case, here is a new look at what Incandescent Imaging has been cooking up in the Unreal Engine 4 since the original Unreal 3 demo was released online. It looks like a lot has been done in the matter of a month and there is still more to go.
I'll be quite and let you enjoy the new look at Caffeine for now.
At first it may seem a little odd in terms of PoV for Caffeine. That is at least for those new to the game. You are playing a small boy who just happens to wake up on a caffeine mining space station. So no, you are not being plagued by chest high everything for some new space marine. You can get more information over at the Caffeine Indiegogo page as I know there isn't much to go on outside of how pretty Caffeine looks in UE4. Hells, while you are there why not drop a buck or two and help get the game funded. We can always use another FPS psychological horror game can't we?
Currently Caffeine is only slated for a PC release, with Oculus Rift support, but given the Unreal Engine's power and ability to port out fairly easy I can see those teases for other platforms to become a reality and not just a footnote on the campaign's page. I guess let's see if they can reach their funding goal first.
