It's been two weeks again so it is time for the new episode of Fallout: Nuka Break. It is also time to see how the cliff hanger from last episode is going to work itself out. Earlier this week, (9/28/11) in a small, dark room I was invited to a Q/A session with a couple of the people behind NBA 2K12. Those people being Erick Boenisch, producer of NBA 2K12, and Mike Wang, senior game play designer. The small, dark room being my office since this was over a conference call. EA has announced that they are working with Klei Entertainment on a sequel to Shank, simply titled "Shank 2" at this point. After killing the criminals who betrayed him, former mob hit man Shank must protect his loved ones from the mob he once worked for. So far no release date has been given, but we can surely expect this one to come out sometime in 2012. The Diablo III Beta test hasn't even been live for a whole week, and Mike Morhaime announced today that releasing Diablo III "Soon" was too soon. Since February Blizzard had said they were "hoping" to have a launch by the end of this year, but never fully committed to it. Well looks like players are going to have to wait a while longer to get in on this hot title. Most likely not, unless the new trailer for Silent Hill: Downpour from Tokyo Game Show 2011 is sending hidden messages other mixed in with the new visuals and little bit of story. They did just use Korn here and while the music adds a bit of creep to the whole thing, it is an interesting choice given the music the band started out with. So in my travels around the land of the internet I've come across some pretty cool stuff in regards to Battlefield 3. Well, seeing as Hades loves himself some Fallout: Nuka Break and so do all of you, I felt it would be good to show you guys some "behind the scenes." I've been following the creators of Fallout: Nuka Break long before they made the fan film. The guy who plays Twig (Zack Finfrock) is the creator and the main guy behind Wayside Creations (the company that made the web series). Zack first started off on a now cancelled (sadly) show called "Backyard FX" where he was made the host. Zack and Wayside Creations have made dozens of helpful props and tutorials for DIY Film making. So two weeks ago Fallout: Nuka Break made its debut on the internet with its first episode. In what seems to be a bi-weekly set up now (according to the annotations in the new episode), I bring you Episode 2. Yea, that whole sentence was redundant but you still read it. In this episode, the trio is continuing on to find the perfect Nuka Cola Break and stumble upon the reason for the attack in the first episode. Well, Serious Sam 3: BFE comes out in about a month and I feel it is my duty as a gamer to spread a little hype about one of my favorite game franchises. Serious Sam 3 takes place before the first Serious Sam game, dropping you in the story right as Mental's unending legion of aliens attack Earth. The upcoming new FPS from Id Software Rage has another new trailer out. This time showcasing the Water Service mission with some great Co-Op. The trailer shows off the usual with Co-operative game play; Work together to win. It seems Id has implemented a bit of competition as well with a combo and point system and a sense of urgency with the whole mission being timed. Complete a step of the objective and you will be rewarded for more time. At the end of the trailer they show off a little bit of the Teammate reviving mechanic, which is always a nice addition to a co-op game. Read More...
