Trailer Week For Nintendo & Bungie
by Binh Nguyen [ Saturday, 6th of March 2010 - 09:05 PM ]
Halo and Metroid. Two major household names in the gaming industry. Well a few days ago Bungie and Nintendo released trailers for Halo: Reach multi-player and Metroid Other M. To be honest with you all, I thought the Halo trailer really spoke volumes on what the multi-player will be like with a few nice additions to the game. Metroid Other M on the other hand was a bit disappointing. Metroid is probably THE only game for me that I DO NOT want voice acting at all! Read More...

Review: BioShock 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of March 2010 - 08:49 PM ]
The time has finally come for us all to head back into Rapture and see what has transpired since the fall of Andrew Ryan and get some questions answered. Is the city still standing up well? Have the splicers died off? What happened to those pesky ADAM filled Little Sisters? All kinds of questions that we were left to wonder when escaping from the underwater city in the first BioShock. The Story: Picking up almost ten years after Jack escaped from Rapture, BioShock 2 starts you out in a similar WTF moment forcing the start of the game. You just kind of wake up as a Big Daddy and have only clouded memories on what the hell is going on. Read More...

PlayStation: It Only Holds Your Entertainment Hostage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of March 2010 - 12:07 AM ]
UPDATE: As of now (4:40 pm PST 3/1/10) the PSN outage for older console users is over. But will this force Sony to make an update so if it happens again PS3s the world over will not be ass out? We'll see when they give an official announcement on the went wrong. Still not boding well in my book. So if you are a huge fan of playing games on the PS3, or watching movies on the PS3, or running around humping things in Home on the PS3, you undoubtedly know that as of right now you can't. Well that is if you have one of the earlier models, before 2009's Slim. I guess in this case, newer is better. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 27th of February 2010 - 03:19 AM ]
Just in case you missed the latest GT TV episode, let me give you a short highlight. It was filled with some of the most exquisite shots from God of War III and gameplay footage known to man currently. A true showing of how far the franchise has come and how powerful of a system that the PS3 truly can be. And we have all that proof for you below in four nice little clips from the show. Not only do they show off the scale, art, and true power of things, but they also have a few other exclusives mixed into the videos. Read More...

Only a few weeks now until the new Gold Edition of Resident Evil hit's shelves for first time players of the game to get the biggest bang for their buck. Or if you are an old player, to enjoy the behind the scenes parts of the game for the first time. Primarily, in the instance of Lost in Nightmares, the weird flash backs that Chris has about Jill through out Resident Evil 5. Also done in a very interesting spoiler free way. This little, hour long, extra content for the game's story is a perfect addition for any "Resident Evil"-phile. Read More...

Alpha Protocol May Be The Only Thing To Save Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of February 2010 - 03:31 PM ]
Now that the excitement and anticipation of Mass Effect 2 is over, it is time to make way for another action adventure type of RPG. This time without alien boobs or harvesting minerals from planets. Instead, you get to save the world from a full on war. Much like every other RPG storyline that is out there. Final Fantasy I'm looking at you. Alpha Protocol has been given the official date of June 1st for release. Read More...

Kratos Just Ripped One Over God Of War III Trophies
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of February 2010 - 03:40 AM ]
Here are the trophies in all of their God of War godly glory. Well at least half of them, as you can see from the list of 36 trophies below. So they are more the Public trophies of God of War III in the end. Which leads me to believe that like in the God of War Collection, you will get trophies for completing parts of the story and collecting required items for Kratos to enact his revenge. At least that can seem a safe assumption. One interesting thing about the list though is that they reused a few of the same names for similar trophies from before. Read More...

Not Your Parents Clash Of The Titans
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of February 2010 - 12:30 AM ]
Only a little more than a month away until the "remake" of the classic 1981 Clash Of The Titans hits theaters. For those who are early 80's movie retarded, it was a retelling of the Greek story of Perseus' persecution. Albeit a bit skewed from the original tale for film purposes, but a fun clay-mation driven film. The new film a deviation from the original from the looks of things, and not just the modern effects and CGI, but a bit of the story. The film is not what this is all about though. Read More...

What Was Said About Heavy Rain?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of February 2010 - 02:38 AM ]
If you are not a die hard fan of a franchise, or overly excited about a new game franchise, you generally want to do some research before you shell out the $60 or so for a console game. It's why we reviewers and critics have a job still. So you can have someone else shell out the cash and take the time before you do. Even if there is a demo before hand. Well Heavy Rain is out now, so you can read some reviews online already, as well as the AggroGamer one soon. Read More...

See Why Sam Fisher Is Back In Splinter Cell Conviction
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of February 2010 - 12:20 PM ]
Seeing how Ubisoft has built Sam Fisher's new character model, it looks as if he has gone the Danny Glover way of things and finally said, "I'm too old for this shit."  So why would he hop back into action and star in the new Splinter Cell? Watch the story trailer below for those reasons. They are damn good reasons too. Two things before you go and jump into this video though. Read More...

Well, the day is finally here where the entire console gaming community can get all those new features they threw into Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, without having to shell out the cash for a full game. The new DLC for the game is now available for download on the XBox 360 and PS3. Not to mention all the additional costumes and characters in the mutiplayer mode. To commemorate this day of the new release, Capcom has given us a video rendition of the old trailer for the game. Review: Dante's Inferno
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of February 2010 - 02:11 AM ]
Hell is a touchy subject. It has been and always will be. It was much worse to even speak about it back when Dante Alighieri wrote The Divine Comedy where he mapped out the circles of Heaven and Hell for all those God fearing Christians to know exactly what he thought was in store for humanity after they shed their mortal coil. But at least he made it easy to disseminate between the three areas one soul could go to. Now that the history lesson is over, let's look at where that has gone now, EA and Visceral Games', Dante's Inferno. Read More...

Darksiding With A Demo
by Kevin [ Wednesday, 17th of February 2010 - 03:02 PM ]
Darksiders, a game that seemed to have trouble finding a general consensus at first, but did manage several very positive reviews is bringing a 90-minute demo to the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 on Feb. 25th. The demo will have the Twilight Cathedral level and will include some of the puzzles that have divided the gaming crowd as well as some equipment to find and even a couple of boss battles. Though the game has already shipped a million units, will a demo bring more gamers to the table ready to take on the mantle of War? Time will tell next week when the demo drops. Read More...

Capcom Either Causes International Incidents Or Zombie Incidents
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of February 2010 - 03:57 PM ]
It looks like once again Capcom could not resist disseminating their social commentary to the world - be it that people are becoming more and more violent and creative or that we are all giving into the social zombism that is quickly spreading the planet. Hell, they even seem to want to weigh in on the issues between China, Korea, and the United States. They do this in one of the best ways ever: through video game trailers and game play. Below you will see two new video clips for two of Capcom's upcoming games: Dead Rising 2 and Super Street Fighter 4. Read More...
