The more I hear and read about Bayonetta, the more I can appreciate the game for what it is - or what it potentially will be. You've heard how the protagonist essentially becomes more and more naked with different attacks, and how her hair transforms into weapons, and how the game contains "Torture Combos", "Witch Time", and "Non-Stop Climax Action". However, what you don't know is that I actually met with Sega for a game similar in both tone and style which I dubbed Thana-Nude the Pistolista. My game, which contained "Hot Sticky Combination Attacks", "Uncomfortable Whimpering Time", as well as "Parent Angering Immoral Fatal Thrust Strikes", focused on Thana-Nude - a 'death fairy ronin' who fell from the sky after the great seperation of the Lost Tombs of Zeebs in the Seventh Ascenion. As Ubisoft promised, just before PAX we are given the little gem of an Assassin's Creed 2 gameplay video. Why they did it before, I have no clue. But I'm not going to complain and neither will you after you get to see how awesome the new game has shaped up. Today to my surprise, while chatting amongst fellow TF2 players in IRC, a sudden cry of "NOOOOOOOO!" began to fill the channel. Valve, the developer of Team Fortress 2, had gone in and flagged about 4.5% of accounts for using idling programs. I, being one of these hat hoarders, was also affected and have become quite saddened at the loss of my 2 hats. For those not familiar with the TF2 Drop system, Team Fortress 2 has items such as weapons, hats, and other misc unlockables available to earn at random when you play a server. Take2 interactive announced yesterday that they will be releasing Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the iPhone and iPod touch. With the release of the game on Nintendo DS, and PSP in late October, it’s no surprise that they are developing for the iPod touch/iPhone which is quickly becoming the next generation portable gamer system. I remember playing the original grand theft auto, and this new version is very reminiscent of that. Crysis 2 Teasers Ok, well it isn't really for sale. At least not in the real world. But from watching the below video clips you could think otherwise. Well kind of. EA Sports's Madden NFL 10. The Best Madden Ever In years past (especially between 02 and 08) the annual Madden has been seen as somewhat of a roster update, however, Madden NFL 10 is something I've not experienced before: an ultra good looking, ultra realistic football game. Madden NFL 09 was a step in the right direction, with better graphics and new animations, however Madden 10 is a giant leap in the right direction, such a big leap it may have just landed where it needed to be. In years past, Madden has been hampered by a lack-luster graphics system that was essentially a beefed up PS2 engine. Textures were hi-res and the detail was there, however player models and the overall stadium experience was still fairly sixth generation. Read More...

Multiplayer: The Book Burning Generation The other night I was driving home at 1 am with the God of War soundtrack playing in the car. As the game music, with mixed in audio clips from the game, was playing through my car speakers, I began to think on how truly epic the story of this game was. Not epic as in awesome, even though it is, but more in lines of how it actually fell in line with the Epic writings of the Greeks. Think the Odyssey and Iliad for what I mean.
