See Some New Single Player Battlefield Hardline Footage Right Here
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of August 2014 - 09:01 PM ]
A 12 minute gameplay video for Battlefield Hardline has been released showing off the campaign mode and some new gadgets to use Up until now we have seen mainly the multiplayer aspect of Battlefield Hardline. We even had a nice long beta for the damned thing just after E3 this year. Well it would seem that EA and Visceral decided to show off the single player aspect of Battlefield Hardline at Gamescom this year. Of course this was all done via the PC version of the game so we can expect it to look amazing but any who played the beta know that it looks just about as nice on the consoles. But let's move on from that for now. Read More...

See All The Haunted House Jump Scares Of Bloodborne From Gamescom
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new gameplay video for Bloodborne has been released and it shows off the combat and odd AI for the game Just like the Wild Hunt gameplay I spoke about earlier, here we have the same treatment for Bloodborne from Gamescom. It may not be 37 minutes but it is a nice chunk of change that shows off all the gameplay for Bloodborne in action. As well as a bit on that Regain System that was talked about during the convention proper. It shows that and a bit more on what I touched upon when I saw the gameplay at E3 but we'll get to that in a moment. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Directly following Gamescom we have the release of 37 minutes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay showing off how amazing it looks on the Xbox One There is no doubt that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looks amazing and looks like it plays amazing. I have yet to actually get hands on with the game. If you were fortunate enough to make it out to Gamescom you may have had a chance to sit down and see the gameplay demo and see firsthand. If not…then you are going to luck out as we have said demo just below for all of you to sit, watch, and enjoy until the withes are done burning. When you get to the seven minute mark you may feel a bit of déjà vu as it is the bit with the godling we have seen in past The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay clips. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 8/11/14 — 8/15/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming It was Gamescom week so as to be expected the gaming news came rolling in nonstop. We are still trying to recover and get everything we can out there for you readers. There were some ups, like Until Dawn getting revitalized for the PS4, and then there were some downs, like Rise Of The Tomb Raider being slated as an Xbox exclusive for a bit of time. Then again that is only bad news for those out there planning on playing the game on a PlayStation or PC so you can take that as you will for now. Another bit of interesting-ness in the world of gaming is that it seemed like there was a hard push for horror games this week. Read More...

Let's Regain Some Perspective On The Combat System Of Bloodborne
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Not only was there a new trailer for Bloodborne out of Gamescom but some new information on the combat system and how it differs from other IPs When I first saw Bloodborne at E3 I was under-impressed with what I saw. Visually Bloodborne looked spectacular but as far as gameplay and combat went it looked nothing like the announcement trailer or other bits of CGI that was being shown. What I was expecting was fast paced and not along the lines of Demon's Souls' kind of combat for this PS4 title. Luckily there was a bit more of an explanation for Bloodborne at Gamescom here recently and it is starting to make more sense now. Read More...

Naval Combat Makes A Huge Return In Assassin's Creed Rogue
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Two new gameplay demos for Assassin's Creed Rogue have been released and show off the new and upgraded features of naval combat So it looks like Assassin's Creed Rogue is coming out strong at Gamescom here and with its imminent release date approaching the dev team took time to show off the new and improved naval combat system for the game. This was an amazing feature that I thought made its real debut in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag but it looks like Ubisoft is just pushing things further by taking us into uncharted waters, pun intended, with different locations that we can sail in. Below you will find both the videos for River Valley and Arctic locations we will get to sail and kill through. Read More...

Have A Look At How Terrifying Alien Isolation Is Trying To Be
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new CGI trailer for Alien Isolation has been released from Gamescom showing off the terror that Creative Assembly is aiming for There shouldn't be any mistake in knowing that Alien Isolation is being slated more to the horror and suspense side of the franchise than the pure action schlop we've been getting. I've played through a bit of the game at conventions past and while it is now Silent Hills teaser it is a down right suspenseful title. At least that is the case based on the little bit I have played for Alien Isolation but I am sure that SEGA and Creative Assembly want to instill that fear that the franchise had so long ago. This Week In Gaming 8/4/14 — 8/8/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of August 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming It sure feels like this week has been one big tease for gaming news. Yes there were a few new items out there and such but it really felt like there was a lot "here's something but you have to wait for the full thing still." I hate teases. Especially when they lead to a whole lot of nothing and waiting for weeks to pass by. Nothing worse for us in the gaming world is there? Read More...

Is It Butt-Slam Or Butt-Stomp In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The next episode of the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel behind the scenes series is out and covers some of the game's mechanics Here we go with part two of the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel "making of" YouTube series. Part One covered how the two studios were handling the workload and physical separation. Part two here looks to cover some of the ne mechanics that will make Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel feel like a Borderlands game but "take risks" Gearbox and 2K didn't want to take in the previous titles. Hooray for being guinea pigs with something the publisher didn't have faith in two times already… Ok, well maybe not something they didn't believe in but something that the people making Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel have had time to perfect to give us that added bonus while playing. Is Sony Teasing Until Dawn For Gamescom 2014?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Two new teasers clips have popped up from Sony surrounding something to be revealed at Gamescom. Could it be Until Dawn? I remember two years ago being so excited for Until Dawn when it was announced at Gamescom during the PlayStation press briefing. Then the title from Supermassive Games, which was slated to use the PS Move to its full extent, kind of just vanished. No word from anyone and then no word at all from anyone over at the developer/publisher for Until Dawn. Like I said when it was announced, "It looks like a teen horror game I'd love. Read More...
