It has been a great week for all things Assassin's Creed Syndicate so far as we've seen so many new bits of gameplay for the game but of course there was even more that was talked about during SDCC. Many of you most likely were not able to make it out for that and Ubisoft wants to make sure you are fully up to date just as we do. That is why we now have the full Assassin's Creed Syndicate panel out of the convention online for all of us to see and enjoy. That is overly nice of them all as we want to be up to date even if we couldn't get into the crazy exclusive event.
I think one of the most interesting things that we find out about Assassin's Creed Syndicate is that we have a bit more on the backstory of Evie and Jacob. In fact they are both born of a normal woman and a master assassin. The mother dies during childbirth of the twins and the father surprising dies of natural causes after training them up a bit. That means that Assassin's Creed Syndicate won't be anywhere near a revenge story unless other events take place to alter the character's views of the world. I am actually digging the fact that these assassin's chose the life and were not thrust into out of worldly events.
Building off of this, it looks like in Assassin's Creed Syndicate both will have an interesting perspective on the code of the creed. Jacob will be more about rebelling against it a bit to get his objectives complete how he wants while Evie will be strictly by the book. Sounds like Assassin's Creed Syndicate is going all buddy cop on us as that is usually the story that we are given for those to make the character stories more interesting. I doubt that we are going to get a Murtaugh and Riggs kind of thing in Assassin's Creed Syndicate but I have faith Ubisoft will make the story interesting as much as they can.
Not much else is really revealed during the Assassin's Creed Syndicate panel at SDCC that we didn't already know outside of that though. There is a bit more of a showcase of the weapons and assassinations for Assassin's Creed Syndicate mixed in but this was really a fan service for those who don't always keep up to date on the game's news but happened to be free and able to get in during Comic Con. Have a look for yourself though as the whole Assassin's Creed Syndicate panel is just below.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate — Panel At Comic-Con 2015
Where you able to glean more details about Assassin's Creed Syndicate than I was in the panel above? Do you think that the new grapple line is going to be a great addition to the Parkour system in Assassin's Creed Syndicate or will it be used to bypass a great deal of things in the game? I'm thinking Ubisoft thought ahead and made it an unlockable during the story of Assassin's Creed Syndicate much like all the other tools in the franchise so we won't get it at the start. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. Also keep checking in as we will have all things Assassin's Creed Syndicate as we get closer to the release date.
