It's that time of year again were we get another WWE title in the way of WWE 2K16. At least we are getting there as the game releases on October 27th for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. I'm sure Visual Concepts have taken great care to make sure that WWE 2K16 is another huge addition to the franchise. Of course with that means that we are going to get some killer pre-order incentives for WWE 2K16 and to start things off we have… The Terminator? Wait, the Arnold Schwarzenegger killer robot characters. Um…what?
Don't think this is a joke here as it has been announced from 2K Games that indeed The Terminator is going to be an exclusive character for WWE 2K16 to those who pre-order the game. Not just one Terminator though but two. The T-800 model from the very first film in the franchise and… the T-800 model that is from the second film in the franchise. Aren't those pretty much the same character then? At least if I remember my Terminator lore they are only with different personalities attached… wait… there we go. The T1 character must be the "Heal" character and the T2 the "Hero." Right?
Even if it doesn't make sense that The Terminator is coming to WWE 2K16 as pre-order incentive that doesn't make it any less true. The character would fit worlds better in the time travel, murder heavy, fighting game that is Mortal Kombat X but I'm guessing someone over at Visual Concepts or 2K Games were able to rush the idea off before the other devs and publisher. I mean how are the mere mortals of WWE 2K16 supposed to take down the killing machine that is The Terminator when it comes to hand to hand combat? They really wouldn't in any plausible way; even for WWE 2K16.
Gripe and joke all we want, it will not change the fact WWE 2K16. So if you really want to get your hands on this exclusive character you can go to your favorite retailer and pre-order WWE 2K16 to make sure you get this killer, pun intended, character for the game. You only have so long before WWE 2K16 comes out on October 27th so you better get to it. Hopefully this will be a truly unbeatable character for those Royal Rumbles and has elements mixed in to make the game a rated M for Mature title. Another thing that is doubtful.
WWE 2K16 — Arnold As The Terminator Pre-Order Exclusive
So what are your thoughts on WWE 2K16 getting the Terminator as a playable character into the mix here? Does it make sense to you or are you willing to overlook that because the actor is a huge WWE fan and is lending his image to help sell the game? Do you think 2K Games missed out on the film synergy with this? Let us know down in the comments. Also keep an eye here for more on WWE 2K16 as we will update as Visual Concepts has more to share with the world. Hopefully there will be more exclusive characters that fit the genre or something to change WWE 2K16's rating.
