[Rumor] GoldenEye Coming To Wii?
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 7th of June 2010 - 10:53 PM ]
According to a leaked survey, the classic four person Nintendo shooter GoldenEye might be being built from the ground up by Activision, and coming to Wii consoles. This leak comes with possible box art and some concept screens. According to the leak, GoldenEye has been "Modernized" and will feature all the weapons and characters we love from Onatopp to Trevalyan, as well as classic weapons like the PP7 and high tech assault rifle. The leak also showed a picture of a new Wii controller shell, and a soon to be coveted gold plated classic N64 controller. Yep looks like everything is there for all the classic fans, but this time you'll be playing as the new bond (Daniel Craig). Read More...

Spider-Man Shatters Into the Judge Dread Dimension
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of June 2010 - 06:35 PM ]
Ok, not really but it sure does look like a toned down version of Judge Dread in these new screen shots from Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions doesn't it? Of course it does. It also looks like a Spawn look has overtaken Spider-Man from these new screens as well, which looks extremely bad ass in my oh so non-humble opinion. But one question still runs in my head - what dimension is this one? Is it the same Roid-Rage one that the Goblin is seen in? Read More...

So you most likely know that you will be able to see the Microsoft Presentation and the Sony Presentation online via one of the many streaming sources. But what about the third in the triangle of video game powerhouses? Will they leave you ass out? Of course not. Just like last year, those who are not able to make it to the physical location in LA, for lack of being in the industry or travel funds, they are giving you the hook up. Which Villains Get Stylized In Shattered Dimensions
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of June 2010 - 06:44 PM ]
Well which of the first three villains are getting a new style for the new Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions at least. Those three being the Green Goblin, Kraven and Hammerhead, if you didn't skip to the video clip already. If you haven't, let me tell you that you may be pretty let down by these "new" villain looks. Mainly just one if I can peg my comic to video game geeks. Let's break it down. Read More...

New Pokemon Title Destined For The Wii Bargain Bin
by Brian Goodman [ Friday, 28th of May 2010 - 05:29 PM ]
Thanks to 1up.com for breaking the news that the Wii exclusive Pokepark Wii (why do all Wii titles need the name of the console in the title?). The game will star Pikachu doing a whole bunch of crap that isn't fun. Like most people with the stunted tastes of a twelve year old kid, I have always loved the handheld Pokemon games. Despite being an unabashed Nintendo hater. The Nintendo published title's from developer Gamefreak have always been very high quality RPG titles. Read More...

Microsoft's Project Natal To Be Priced At $149
by Brian Goodman [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 11:32 PM ]
Accoriding to a report from Edge-Online today Microsoft has set a $149 price tag on its upcoming motion capture camera dubbed "Project Natal". This price is three times the original rumored price of $49. To keep it relative the anticipated pricepoint of Sony's similar upcoming hardware release "move" is rumored to be only $99. Will Microsoft sell the millions of units to the casual and non-traditional gaming crowd that it anticipates at this price point? Will Sony destroy any possibility of success with its newly announced 31% of the console market and its significantly cheaper "Move"? Read More...

Two Worlds II Trailer Debuts
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 04:55 PM ]
TopWare Interactive has just debuted it's latest trailer for Two Worlds II. The sequel to Two Worlds, which at release was labeled as the "clone" of the Oblivion series. Two Worlds was off to a rocky start and very buggy in the beginning. Not to mention the community had very little patience for an epic adventure of this proportion to be that buggy out of the box. Through it all TopWare moved forward and continued working on Two Worlds II to bring the players back to the world of Antaloor. Enhanced AI, balancing standards, experienced authors, an active combat system, theinnovative DEMONS™ magic management, and the PAPAK™ alchemy system guarantee enjoyment for new and experienced gamers. How Tough Are The Streets In APB
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of May 2010 - 02:55 PM ]
From the look of things, they are extremely tough - even after the elected officials legalize vigilantism. That is music to our ears for what we are being promised for EA and Realtime Worlds' MMO APB. We want them to be rough and gruff. It is a action MMO version of Cops and Robbers after all. If you want to see for yourself how rough the streets are going to be, watch the trailer/opening cinematic for yourself. You'll get to see how no one really cares about graffiti in this town. Not to mention, you'll see a bit more of some in game action. Read More...

Does Nintendo Make Kid Games Or Games For People Of All Ages?
by Brian Goodman [ Tuesday, 25th of May 2010 - 05:51 PM ]
So I was reading an opinion piece on Kotaku all about how Shigeru Miyamoto thinks he makes game that appeal to people of all ages - not just kids. The writer of the Kotaku piece made the comparison between Nintendo and Pixar, who has made arguably the best animated films of all time that are characteristically appealing to young children and adults alike. Something didn't feel right to me about that comparison. As a HUGE fan of Pixar I thought to myself; what makes Pixar films successful? Read More...

Review: Iron Man 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Sunday, 23rd of May 2010 - 07:14 PM ]
So you've read the comics. You've seen the film, most likely. You hopefully listened to the developer's call. Now you might be wondering if you should go through with playing Iron Man 2 the video game. Well let me tell you my thoughts to hopefully make up your mind on what you should do, or at least make a small impact on which way you sway. Before we get into the nitty gritty, I do want to warn that this game is based on the film. But only based as in it is in the same world as the film's events and also uses two of the cast for voice overs. Read More...

Nintendo & American Heart Association To Get You Off The Couch
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 17th of May 2010 - 05:45 PM ]
Today Nintendo and the American Heart Association announced a partnership to get you off your couch and be active. Throwing around various statistics and knowing gamers, the two powerhouses look to empower gamers to become active, make time for exercise and enjoy getting fit. Along with the announcement comes the unveiling of a new website to inform users of how they can get involved at home using Nintendo products and across the country with AHA's Start! Heart Walks. As much as I want to be cynical and sarcastic about how this is simply a business move to sell more Wii's or how the AHA is just piggybacking on the success of Nintendo's console or how it is only a vehicle to sell the Wii Vitality Sensor, I'm going to restrain myself, be positive and optimistic.
