Call Of Duty
One final interview before Call Of Duty: WWII launches dives deeper into what Call Of Duty: WWII's Nazi Zombies mode will have for us
In only a few days Call Of Duty: WWII will finally be out and we can see what all of the hype was for. November 3rd to be exact and it will be on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC bringing with it all of the hard work that Sledgehammer Games has put into it and the new Nazi Zombies mode. This is of course why we are here right now as we have had a lot for the core part of Call Of Duty: WWII and now it is time to get a little bit more on how this new mode has been changed up. Maybe it will give us all a newfound love for Activision and how it pushes these games each year, or it will leave us begging for a break so they can all perfect their craft once again. I am not seeing much of a middle ground anymore.
Anyways, it has been stated many times that Call Of Duty: WWII's Nazi Zombies will be bringing many new changes to the mode including a real aspect of horror. I would have rather seen a whole new video game for the horror side of it all, but that just is not the case. What is the case is that it looks like the team has made things easier for new players to get into the mode by giving out more tips and help along the way. For those out for the more hardcore version of this Call Of Duty staple, it sounds like you will also have plenty of new things as it will only build on the experience without leaving many people out. That was always my issue on why I never truly got into the Zombies mode in the past. Maybe things will be different here.
Another interesting addition from the following interview is that there may be some aspect of the code that drives the horror in Call Of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies. Usually, things like jump scares and the like are placed specifically to jolt the player in horror games. It sounds like Sledgehammer Games has mixed in some code and algorithms that will mix this up a bit. I am hoping not on just some kind of interval or timed way, but in a way where it can calculate when it would be best to have the scare come. Most likely not as this is only an add-on feature to Call Of Duty: WWII and not its own thing, but maybe we will be surprised and the rest of the great horror elements will be blended just perfectly to sate everyone.
Call Of Duty: WWII — Zombies Interview
Call Of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies is an original, terrifying co-operative mode that unleashes a frightening new horror story for Call Of Duty zombies fans. We sit down with the creative and development directors at Sledgehammer to discuss how this terrifying mode came to life.
If horror is not your thing, first thank you for clicking into all of this, but it also looks like Activision has given us one other little bonus here for Call Of Duty: WWII. The Carentan multiplayer map is back for the game here and is part of the whole pre-order bit for it all. You can see how it looks below and then add this as another reason to get your copy of Call Of Duty: WWII early or as just a time filler if it too is not your jam. To me it looks like many of the other multiplayer maps we have already seen or experienced in the game so far so I cannot say much else for it. It is just another nice thing to add to the list I guess as we watch all the PS4 players get it about a month earlier than the rest of the gaming community.
Call Of Duty: WWII — Carentan
Carentan, one of the most beloved Call Of Duty Multiplayer maps, makes its return in Call Of Duty: WWII. Fight through destroyed buildings and fortified streets of this war-torn French town in an all-out battle for a strategic German stronghold. Available Day 1 for Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Edition owners.
Do you have a new "hot take" on the Nazi Zombies mode for Call Of Duty: WWII or does it look just to be a darker version of what we had before? Do you think that we will see some smart scares mixed into it all or will it get played out fast and be more of a background noise thing as we all try to find the hidden gems mixed in? Does the addition of this new map sell you on the game early or will you be holding off to see if it is an improvement over the past installments? Let everyone know what is on your mind down in the comments and then discuss. For more on Call Of Duty: WWII and the future of its DLC, make sure to keep checking in on the site.
