Link Of Awesome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of November 2008 - 08:59 PM ]
Videos For Zelda Fans For some reason I have been having a few issues finding anything decent to write about as of late for you guys. But don't fret, not that you would, I have a couple of videos that I stumbled on that you might find of interest. This first on is a scene from Resident Evil 4 where instead of Leon, there is a Link skin instead. Still not sure how it happened or if it is just someone's really good video editing skills to do this, but it is completely amazing. This next one is kind of of interest and a little bit of news. by Michael Camacho [ Thursday, 6th of November 2008 - 11:59 PM ]
Ready to put you’re fishing skills to the test? Then check out Rapala Fishing Frenzy 2009, brought to us by Activision and Fun Labs. The game is exactly what you would expect, a fishing simulation game featuring the Rapala license. But does a fishing sim on the XBox 360 translate to actual gaming fun? Well that all depends on what you are expecting from your fishing experience. In Rapala 2009 you start off the game by choosing whether your character is a male or female, and then you come to main menu. Read More…

Get Your Free Movie On
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of November 2008 - 10:11 PM ]
Netflix Giving Away 48 Hour Streaming Trials With New XBOX 360 Games So I figured it was only a matter of time before we got these kinds of things, I didn't expect it so soon. Not that I'm complaining though. Oh, I'm talking about getting the free trial pamphlets for NetFlix for the new XBox service. I figured since most people get them for the normal service, they would pop up for gamers too. Well it looks like the below blogger just got one in the Quantum of Solace box. Read More…

Ready For Wars?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of November 2008 - 05:53 PM ]
Halo Wars Game Footage So after seeing and hearing a bit about this at Comic Con 2008, I've been searching for anything more on this. Finally, there has been a video placed out with a little bit of everything in the game. A little FMV. A little Game Mechanics. A Little Game Play. And all of this makes it look a little interesting. For the most part it looks like a different version of StarCraft or WarCraft. With just a Halo skin slapped over it. Read More…

LittleBigUpdates
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of November 2008 - 05:43 PM ]
I apologize now for the loads of news you will most likely be seeing surrounding this game. There is just so much and I get all kinds of details sent to me. More than any thing right now. So I'll preface that. But here are three interesting things that just popped up around LBP. LittleBigPlanet To Add Sticker Import From Hard Drive Might not sound all that cool, at least to some, but this is something that was originally stated was most likely never going to be an option within the game. What is that? Since I might not have been totally clear with the heading, looks like MM is working on a way to import images from the Hard Drive instead of just using your PSEye or USB Camera to get these images into your levels. Quantum of Solace Review, XBOX 360
by Ben Brody [ Tuesday, 4th of November 2008 - 07:06 AM ]
Quantum of SolaceESRB: TeenReviewed on: Xbox 360Quantum of Solace is Activision's first 007 game released since gaining the license from EA in 2006. It also marks the first Bond game released on 7th generation consoles (it is also released on 6th gen too). Daniel Craig, Eva Green, Mads Mikklesen, Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric, and Judi Dench all lend their voice and likeness to the game, which does give make it seem like you indeed are playing the movie, however, this time, that's a bad thing.Quantum of Solace doesn't fail so much due to the fact that it's not a great game to play, it fails in the regard that it's based on a movie, which while containing some over-the-top action, was largely a drama-love story that couldn't hold a candle to the action found in Goldeneye, From Russia With Love, Everything or Nothing, or even Nightfire. When producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson decided to take Bond in a different direction I was pleased with what came out on the big screen but was disappointed in the fact that the toned down, more realistic action wouldn't translate well to a video game, where over-the-top is the standard. A Steam Cloud is rolling in...
by [ Tuesday, 4th of November 2008 - 02:20 AM ]
Today, Valve has announced a platform that will store game applications online so that gamers can access them from any PC. Affectionately titled Steam Cloud, the November zombie thriller Left 4 Dead will ship with out-of-the-box support. According to Valve, the Steam Cloud "just works," meaning that any changes a gamer makes to configurations in-game such as button layouts, difficulty settings, or multiplayer options will be automatically delegated to the user’s Steam Cloud account on another computer. Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve, explains: "For some time now, Steam has allowed gamers to log on from any computer in the world and access their applications. This also makes it easy to upgrade a PC without worrying about losing your games. Read More…

LittleBigPlanet: Gradius So I knew that when LittleBigPlanet came out we would see some crazy cool levels for online play. But so far this one takes the cake and has me wondering how the hell it was done. I've got a few ideas, but just wow! Any ways, there is a clip of the game below in case you want to see something truly amazing. Also if you want to play, the level name is Libidius.jp. Read More…

A Goofier Way To Look While Playing Games
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of October 2008 - 05:58 PM ]
Sony Patents Ultrasonic Waggle Controller Technology A while back, there was a video showing a motion controller designed for the PS3. It looked like the Dual Shock 3 controller only that it split in the middle to make for two fists of fury. Really cool looking. But now there is a new patent passed through to create a new motion and proximity controller by Sony. And the images proposed look really goofy. But the technology is actually kind of cool when you think and look at it. Read More…

Enter The City With Your Mac
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of October 2008 - 04:55 PM ]
NCsoft and TransGaming Announce City of Heroes for the Mac So it's been a long time coming, but it is finally going to happen. So good news for those Mac players that have yet to get addicted to WoW. But one of the other best MMOs will be easily available for those who love to game with a Mac. Why someone would do that I don't know. Sorry personal opinion. But the details, at least the shorter version, is that there will be a public Beta of the Mac version available before the Holiday Season around the same time the next Issue (patch) comes out.
