Wii Internet channel Free! Refunds Coming

From the Website:

Important Announcement:

If you have previously used 500 Wii Points to download the Internet Channel, at the end of October we will be offering you the opportunity to download, at no cost, one NES game of your choice (valued at 500 Wii Points) from the Virtual Console catalog. Details of this download offer will be provided via the Wii Message Board and on Nintendo.com soon.

Thats crazyness! The Wii Customer Service website also stated that there is a new update for the Internet Channel so it will work with Flash 8. Very rarely have we seen such a refund in video games. MMO's will sometimes credit you for days when servers are down for extended time (world of warcraft i'm looking at you) but very rarely do you see it for consoles.

Anyone get their notifications yet?
