These screens show off a little bit of the CGI that Square-Enix is well known for, as well as some of the in-game stuff and combat system. The aesthetics are something that has yet to let me down in any way for this game. I just really hope that the storytelling aspect of the game isn't being hurt at all because they are spending months trying to get the shine and opacity looking perfect in the ice levels. Yes, that was a reason given for the length of wait for the game. But hey, at least it isn't going under the multiplayer treatment.
I will say that I am a little concerned for the Final Fantasy fans that are getting this on the Xbox 360 though. Square-Enix has stated that they are not going to lower any of the graphics or visuals to get the game onto the 360. Yet, they had to cut things for the game already because they couldn't get it onto a 50GB BluRay disk. The age of disk changing looks to be coming back. I count at least 3 DVDs there for the 360 version of the game. At least as my math goes: 3 Disks x 16GB/Disk = 48GB. Still a touch shy of the 50GB mark, but close enough I would think. That just means no sitting back and relaxing for the whole game. That is, unless your 360 is next to you while you play.
