Cult County To Mess With Texas In Horror FPS Fashion
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Cult County, a survival horror FPS, has a new gameplay trailer to help with its Kickstarter Campaign. If you haven't heard of Cult County yet then it may be safe to assume that you don't spend your days looking at Kickstarter campaigns or new that doesn't come from the huge publishers. I just found out about it myself while trying to dig up some fun content for all of you six readers out there due to all of the big names being focused on PAX and all the fun there. The only drawback from having huge conventions is they blow their load in terms of news out the gate. Back on topic though. Read More…

It is a look at how Ubisoft and NVIDIA have 'teamed up' to give us the most visually stunning version of the game we can imagine. In fact, this looks like the visuals that got everyone extremely excited from the original announcement of Watch_Dogs. If you are still doubtful I will let you watch the following trailer in peace right now then follow it up with some more commentary. Read More…

The President of SOE, John Smedley, has brought the internet H1Z1; a new zombie survival MMO. Welcome to Woodbury H1Z1, the new Zombie themed MMO straight out of Sony Online Entertainment. That is just what we all need in our lives right now huh? The only thing is that H1Z1 sounds like it is building off all of the other 'zombie' games and media out there to try and give us the experience we are all pining for apparently. Let's dig into what we know so far to help better get a grasp on H1Z1. First and foremost H1Z1 is going to be a free to play game based on the engine that powers Planetside 2. Read More…

Here Is The 'Debut' Trailer For The Last Of Us Remastered
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
In the wake of the official announcement of The Last Of Us Remastered, we have a 'trailer' of sorts. Yesterday we got the official announcement of The Last Of Us Remastered to move the title from rumor to fact. It was all in the form of just banners and text but now we have a trailer to show off all of The Last Of Us' accolades and achievements as well as claimed footage for the PS4 version of the game. This makes a bit more sense as the game has been stated to have been in the works since the launch of the PS3 version, so a little over a year now. Let us have a watch and see how these upgraded textures, character models, lighting, and shadows are going to look in this upgraded masterpiece. Read More…

Rumor No More — The Last Of Us Is Coming To The PS4
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The Last Of Us Remastered has now been officially announced putting a nail in all the rumor mumbo jumbo. The Last Of Us coming to the PS4 has been a hot topic over the last few weeks since a Sony Rep let a little bit slip. Over on the PS Blog Arne Meyer (Community Strategist at Naughty Dog) has set the record straight and officially stated that The Last Of Us Remastered is what we will all get to look forward to on our PS4 Summer of 2014. All of this seemed to crop up after someone let the banner ad for the pre-order fly on the browser version of the PlayStation Store this morning. See below. Read More…

Rumor No More — Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Is Happening
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has been officially announced by Gearbox and 2K Australia. Looks like all the rumors were true. Earlier this week there were rumors abound about a supposed Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. I personally poked at the rumor but as it would turn out some other press outlet just broke the embargo on the announcement. If this forced Gearbox's hand to make things official is still up to debate but none the less here we have Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. As mentioned before, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel takes place after Borderlands but before Borderlands 2. Read More…

Finally A New Gameplay Trailer For The Evil Within Straight From PAX East
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Bethesda has released a new trailer for The Evil Within in the build up to PAX East. Still so many questions unanswered… If there is one thing I love about big gaming and geek conventions like PAX it is that we get awesome new trailers like the one for The Evil Within we just received. Granted, this usually means that we all have to wait an obscene amount of time to finally hear some new little tidbit for a game we are excited for but at least it comes like clockwork. Only about two months from when we got our last up date in the form of a release date for The Evil Within. Again I am deviated from the original point here. Read More…

A Few New Murdered: Soul Suspect Screen Shots To Haunt Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Airtight games has released a few new screen shots for Murdered: Soul Suspect and we have them here. Fresh from the Twittersphere come a few new screen shots for Murdered: Soul Suspect but no real new gameplay or story information. It is cool and all that we have something new to look at but correct me if I am wrong but I thought all of their previous trailers always tease another new trailer soon. Soon apparently means more than a month for a new trailer and spattered screen shots for a game that is quickly coming upon its release date. Granted there is still about two full months until we will be playing Murdered: Soul Suspect but that is splitting hairs now. Read More…

Looks Like We Are Getting Marvel Characters In Our Disney Infinity 2.0
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Marvel has teased that we will be getting some heroes for Disney Infinity 2.0. Captain America is the only 'confirmed' character for now. Earlier today Marvel teased some new characters coming for Disney Infinity in the 2.0 edition of the game. Well more new character but it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to assume that they are going to be pumping as many characters from their universe into the video game/toy cash cow. That and the use of the iconic "Assemble" phrases that go hand in hand with the Avengers, but for right now all we get is Captain America's shield flying around bringing down the baddies of Disney Infinity. Should we all be too shocked with this announcement or tease here? Read More…

Wolfenstein: The New Order Is Giving You Nowhere To Run To…Baby
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Bethesda has released a new trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order showcasing some new gameplay and story. Just in case you thought we were running light on the gameplay for Wolfenstein: The New Order we have a new trailer showing just that. Ok, well maybe more of the scripted in-game footage for the game but at least it is a bit more on the overall story that Machine Games and Bethesda are trying to tell. Not to mention some of those really fun "alternate history" blurbs mixed in that have seemed to become a staple in the Wolfenstein: The New Order marketing. If you look closer too I think that we can even catch a few of the other named characters of Wolfenstein: The New Order getting the business end of B. Read More…

Viscera Cleanup Detail Finally Lets Us Play The Most Thankless Job
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Viscera Cleanup Detail is now up on Steam. Time to clean up those messes made by the hero… I swear sometimes you little devs never cease to amaze me and Viscera Cleanup Detail is another to add to the pile. According to the Steam website Viscera Cleanup Detail is available to purchase for $7.99 right now. It has been in alpha and beta for some time from what I have found out after hearing about the game; something I am still a bit shocked on. Wait, you haven't heard about Viscera Cleanup Detail yet? Watch_Dogs Wants To Show You Your Digital Shadow
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new marketing campaign for Watch_Dogs has hit Facebook to show you how much can be gleaned from your account. Just in case you need something to tide you over until Watch_Dogs releases on May 27th, Ubisoft has just turned on its latest marketing fun for us all via a Facebook 'app'. In this case it is a Facebook app called Digital Shadow that is made to look like you are being tracked via your presence on Facebook. Granted this is something that can be done fairly easily due to the fact that most people forget that everything they do online in the real world can become public in the real world, but that is just social commentary mumbo jumbo I'll put aside for now. I personally gave it a whirl and was glad to see that if this were for real no one would truly be able to track me down based on the information I let lose into the virtual world. Read More…

Rumor Mill: A Borderlands In-Between-Quel Is In The Works?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
New rumors have cropped up that there will be a Borderlands title to gap the five years between the games. Hey fans of Borderlands and Borderlands 2. Have you ever wondered what happened between both titles to take Handsome Jack the proper villain he is stated to be? Well if the new rumors from GamePointsNow are to be believed that is what e 2K Australia is cooking up for us with a Borderlands 2 prequel. I would argue that Borderlands would be the prequel to that game myself but for now we will use the name that is being reported Borderlands: The Pre-sequel. All go into the nuts and bolts of what is being claimed in a second for this Borderlands in-between-quel but wasn't 2K Australia supposed to not be the name used anymore? Read More…

The Elder Scrolls Online Gives Us Another Cinematic Reason To Play
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Here is a new cinematic trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online to help show why you should be playing the game. The Elder Scrolls Online is now out for the PC master race and soon for the second class citizens of the next gen consoles. There is also nothing like a fully pre-rendered trailer to show us why we should all be playing a game. As it would seem we have one of those new trailers for The Elder Scrolls Online in all of its glory. It is full CGI. Read More…
