A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week With all of that, we close yet another week of fun in the world of video games. So many great things and only a few letdowns near the end of the week. At least we all have a lot to look forward to as we have Pathfinder: Kingmaker and a new episode of The Walking Dead to look forward to next week. New gameplay for Devil May Cry 5 is here as well as a look at what will come with the Deluxe Edition of Devil May Cry 5 The headline more or less says it all here; we have new gameplay for Devil May Cry 5 fresh out of TGS and it offers up all of the fun we could expect and then a bit more. We also get to see the newly added V to the franchise who will also be a playable character in the game with Nero and Dante. New footage for one of Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies’ experiences has crawled up featuring more from a Call Of Duty franchise musical veteran When I first saw that the new Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies mode was going to be messing around with time, I was a little concerned. I understood what Treyarch was aiming for, but I was not completely certain that it could work out as well given that it was many different eras and not just one new one as we have seen in the past. The Story For Resident Evil 2 Seems To Change In The Remake

A new story trailer for the Resident Evil 2 Remake is here and we can see some of the changes coming from the original version of Resident Evil 2 There have been quite a few good looks at the Resident Evil 2 Remake since it was first announced and I am sure we will have many more before the January 25th release date that is set for it all. We still have a few more conventions and shows out there for Capcom to show things off at and they have done just that again out at TGS. Delve Deeper Down The Path Of Madness With Call Of Cthulhu

New gameplay for Call Of Cthulhu has sprung up to show us some of the darker sides of Call Of Cthulhu as well as some of the true horrors that wait If you have been hoping for new gameplay for Call Of Cthulhu, then we are here to offer it up. It is also not the same rehashing of the same footage but actually some new gameplay that Cyanide Studios put together to show off some of the true horrors that the game will house. At least as true horror in terms of the elder gods that we can get in video game form. I mean, it does look like they are playing well with the sanity portion of Call Of Cthulhu, but there is no real way to get that point across without forcing the human to truly go mad. Read More…

Another character for SoulCalibur VI is here and we are seeing Raphael back in the SoulCalibur mix bringing along his fencing style Time to add one more to the roster of SoulCalibur VI as it looks like Raphael is back in the mix here and bringing that fencing style we all knew from the past. Yes, this is yet another old character that Bandai Namco is tapping for us to join in the fight, but it does further expand out the roster so we cannot truly complain. Red Dead Redemption 2 Will Be Going Online Shortly After Launch

An online mode for Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming and will be going into full beta mode shortly after Red Dead Redemption 2 launches It is all something we figured would be coming to Red Dead Redemption 2 and now it is officially coming. That is, Red Dead Online will be heading to the game and Rockstar Games has finally given us the most basic of details on it all. Given how their other online systems have worked for their other titles, I will not say I am shocked. A PlayStation Classic Is Now Coming Just In Time For The Holiday Season

A PlayStation Classic has now been announced and will be bringing us a bunch of original PlayStation titles with the nostalgia It was truly only a matter of time before we caught wind of a PlayStation Classic actually coming to market and it looks like today is that day. Not that it is coming to market, we will have to wait until December 3rd for that, but it has been announced and we can no look forward to playing all of those old titles from the PS1 days again. All on a console that is about 45% smaller than the original PlayStation and with two controllers. That is some of the basics that will be coming with the hardware as well as the usual HDMI and USB cables that will be needed to see and power the system. Read More…

Get Ready For The First Spartan Smart Assistant Out Of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Another bit of hype is here for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, as we will have a new Alexa skill added to the list to go right along with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Add another video game out there that will have some form of Alexa integration as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is adding this to the skill tree of the device. Nothing that will be fully linked or needed to play the game, but something that will allow for Ubisoft to market the game a bit more and offer up other options to get some of that in-game information. Bridges Are Going To Burn In The Next Episode Of The Council

New screenshots for the fourth episode of The Council are here and it looks like the story of The Council is taking a darker turn The next episode of The Council is almost upon us as September 25th is the date we will be able to continue this story of alternate history and intrigue. Not only the next episode, but the fourth (will not use that specific word) one from Big Bad Wolf as they expand on all of this to even greater heights. Some heights that have been placed way up there in terms of the episodic storytelling genre that The Council is in and many other needs to borrow from. At least in my own opinion as the RPG elements of it all definitely keep things going where other would have a massive lull. Read More…

Now we are back with yet another TGS trailer from Square Enix for the game with more to take in. All about the same in terms of gameplay footage from the world in question for Kingdom Hearts III, but also a lot more for all of those other worlds we will be going to with Sora and friends. All in a nice little postcard style of images from Rockstar Games to try and highlight some of the varying lands in the game.
