Bloodlines 2
The announcement is here for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 with Bloodlines 2 aiming for a Q1 2020 release window
Words cannot describe how excited I am as Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 is now announced, but I will do my best here. Even though there is not much in the way of details for the game and an announcement trailer from Paradox Interactive to take in, we now know that all of the rumors from the past are now truths. All with Hardsuit Labs behind the screen developing the game and setting us up for a fun Q1 in 2020. Not only that, but it also looks like Bloodlines 2 will be hitting up the PS4 and Xbox One alongside a solid PC release. It will be a bit odd given the past of the franchise, but I will totally take it all.
You can get a bit of a tease below with the announcement trailer for Bloodlines 2, but here are a few things you may not be able to pick up from it. It looks like this time we will be in Seattle for the story and will be able to create our own character as we had before. There is not a list of clans we can work without the gate, as of yet, but it does sound like the team is going to be getting as many in there for us with free updates coming post-launch. That is damn cool of them as the pre-order bundles for Bloodlines 2 that are out there list that there is planned post-launch DLC and stories too. I am not usually a huge fan of these kinds of things, but I will be throwing down on that.
It also sounds like we will be able to select between the various factions in Bloodlines 2 and not completely stuck to one of them from the start. So there will be a bit of dynamic story going on here for the game. Given that they have some of the people back from the last Bloodlines back in for the writing, Bloodlines 2 should be able to offer up what the modding community has been working for since that one dropped. I will let you have a look at what we have in terms of visuals now for the game, as I am sure this is the main reason you are here. Now to cross fingers that clan Tzimisce will be fully playable in the game. The best of clans to me.
Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 — Announcement
After years in development at Hardsuit Labs and months of teasing from Paradox Interactive, we’re very excited to reveal Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2!
A true successor to the original must be written by the creative mind behind the unforgettable, undying characters of that cult classic. Thus, Brian Mitsoda has returned to write the next step in the Bloodlines franchise. Fans can be sure the deep, reactive, character-driven storytelling of the original is coming back… maybe even alongside a few fan-favorite characters?
Created in an act of vampire insurrection, your existence ignites a blood war among the vampire factions who run Seattle. To survive, you’ll choose a clan and enter into uneasy alliances with the competing factions in a world which will react to every choice you make. Unleash your supernatural powers against your prey, but be mindful of your surroundings at all times or run the risk of breaking the Masquerade — the absolute law of secrecy that keeps Vampire society hidden from humanity. You’ll stalk the city streets for prey, maneuver complex political relationships, and balance your need for blood against your withering humanity.
Bloodlines 2 will provide you the choice of a number of clans, with more clans added to the game post-launch free of charge. Which clans and factions feature in Bloodlines 2 is just some of the information we’re looking forward to sharing with you on our way to release on PC and consoles in Q1 2020!
