Here we go with another title getting shown off a bit more during GDC's Keynotes this year with Oddworld: Soulstorm getting a bit of the limelight. This time we are not seeing much in the way of gameplay for the game, but we are getting a good look at one of the cinematic sequences that Oddworld Inhabitants has put together. If this will show up in the final version of Soulstorm is still up in the air, but it does show off the way things will be presented when it comes to the scenes. Given how the other titles went in the past, I would not be surprised if this was all from the game and not fully pre-rendered though.
That all said, we have a fun little scene from Oddworld that takes us into a train chase with all kinds of effects and movement going on that needs to be looked after. The first video here is the full scene released with little to no context with it. There is no clue where or if this is in the game but it is a fun little piece for us to enjoy. The second clip shows off a bit of the process behind it all and the many different layers and techniques used to craft what will get us all excited for Oddworld: Soulstorm to finally launch. Even if this is nothing more than a fun video for interest, it has piqued my interests further than before.

To go a step further for all of this, we also have a look at how one of the characters from Oddworld: Soulstorm will be rendered and how the different processes will handle it all. This one may be a bit more boring for those not interested in seeing how their games are made, but it shows off a bit on how well it could potentially look when all is said and done. It is not too long either, so I fully say you should watch it and then awe in the wonders of how it will look. I know I am excited to see more on this Oddworld title based on all of this.

Did this all just offer up a great tease for you or did it grab your attention for Oddworld: Soulstorm perfectly to move forward with? Do you think all or any of this will make it into the final title or was it all here to show off the power the team is working with? Do you enjoy seeing how your games are made in general or did you skip over everything else that was presented here? Let us know so we can all discuss down in the comment section below. When there is more to share for Oddworld: Soulstorm, we will indeed share it here. Just be sure to keep coming back to see and hear all of it in the future.
