A screenshot from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain looked real enough to be used for real news This news report has since been updated but it feels more like a PR spin than truly admitting that they screwed up and used an image from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to shock people into believing their propaganda or at least listen to what they were saying. "News" outlet RT and show SophieCo were recently covering a story on children soldiers and were speaking to a former child soldier when the camera panned by and showed a scene from the next Kojima game. Like I said, it has since been updated to state that they knew it was from a video game but I have a feeling that is just to save face as something like this could ruin what the discussion was actually about. A new trailer for Destiny has been released showing off some of the timed-exclusive DLC If you were curious on what came in the Vanguard Armory pre-order bonus for Destiny then you need not wait any longer. For all of you who don't have to wait until Fall of 2015 here is what you will be getting if you pre-ordered Destiny on the PS4 or PS3. A nice little tease for all of those not in that sub-group but at least you will now know why all the K/D ratios are skewed…well maybe. During the Bethesda conference at Quakecon there was an announcement of a third release date for The Evil Within Unlike what will happen when playing The Evil Within, calm down. This is not another piece of bad news for The Evil Within but it is a bit of good as it was let loose that the game is now coming out a week earlier now. That means that evil will be taking hold on October 14th now instead of the 21st. That is as long as Bethesda doesn't change their minds after what they claimed at Quakecon here recently. A new trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows has been released to show off the main goblin doing what he does best Last month we were able to re-watch the E3 gameplay for Styx: Master Of Shadows and it looks to be the perfect Thief-like game to me. Now we have a nice little extra look at a bit of gameplay and a bit more on the story that will be taking place during the game. It isn't all that much more but it is something for what I am seeing as a sleeper hit coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC this upcoming September. Recent reports say that the studio will be closing as a part of a restructuring that will result in 18,000 Xbox employees being laid off News surfaced today that Xbox Entertainment Studios, the new studio that was to produce several Xbox original TV shows, will be shutting down permanently. The company began in 2012 with the vision to create interactive television content for Xbox Live subscribers. The studio looked to solidify its domination of the home entertainment industry by having their own original programming that can be accessed just as easily as Netflix or Hulu through consumer's Xbox Ones. Ubisoft is setting up a Parkour obstacle course for those at SDCC to hone their Assassin's Creed skills in real life It really looks like The Walking Dead Escape started something at SDCC as it looks like Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed are now bringing their real world video game experience to the convention with the Assassin's Creed Experience. What is the Assassin's Creed Experience? A few new screenshots for the Alien Isolation DLC have surfaced showing a few scenes from the expansions I've been reading lately that people are upset about the pre-order DLC for Alien Isolation. I'm not completely sure why or if it is just the general hatred and Alien Isolation is just getting the backlash because it is the most recent that will have DLC for all platforms out the gate and not "exclusive" timed DLC like other titles that will remain nameless. In an interview with Mad Catz during EVO 2014 Ed Boon spoke about the possibility of guest character DLC for Mortal Kombat X It seems a bit odd to be speaking of guest characters for Mortal Kombat X when we only had the game's seventh main character announced during EVO here recently. At EVO 2014 in Las Vegas, NV Tekken 7 was announced with a nice little trailer and few to go on It's funny that only a few days ago I was asking myself when Tekken 7 could be coming out. All while playing Tekken 6 at home. Well, at least trying to play Tekken 6 as it is still buggy as hells after its release here in the NA region in 2009. During EVO 2014 in Las Vegas, NV it was revealed that Raiden will be a fighter in Mortal Kombat X Now we can take the fighter count to at least seven for Mortal Kombat X as Raiden has been confirmed to be coming back to the franchise. Not that big of a shocker (pun intended) as Raiden has been an iconic character much like Scorpion and Sub Zero have been over the last umpteen incarnations of the franchise lore. I could be wrong but I believe he has been in every version of the franchise in some form where as some have been left out for various reasons. It was all about the world, exploration, and all the crazy combat options we are going to get when we actually get to play the game.
