Last week at Gamescom we were shown a bit on how we can keep replaying Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain after all was said and done the first time. In a nutshell there are many different ways to tackle the missions and each should give us a bit more time with the game after we beat The Phantom Pain proper. But back at E3 there was a bit of a showing of multiplayer which would be the true way to keep gamers addicted to Kojima's latest title wouldn't it. Well, we have more on all of that as of now and we are here to share.
Today there was a re-broadcast of The Phantom Pain gameplay we saw before without all of the extra commentary which led into the bigger reveal of multiplayer. You can jump to the 17:12 mark of the following video to get to just that part if you want or you can re-watch the whole ordeal in amazing 1080p 60fps. Hence why we are not linking out to YouTube this time around as this is really how to watch all of the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain gameplay if I do say so.
Here is said video of the The Phantom Pain's multiplayer goodness.
So this all looks like custom challenge maps that are created by other players of The Phantom Pain more than anything. Granted it looks like there could be some PvP involved at some point given how the video ends but there is nothing on that. Pretty much we get to walk, crawl, or run around other players' bases trying to swipe there hard earned items all to make our own bases that much better. Everything from Fultoning and just grabbing things all to take down the other 'Big Boss' on the Mother base.
At E3 they mentioned that the The Phantom Pain's multiplayer would be persistently online so that does raise the question of how do you keep people from just targeting during the general sleeping times of other player's real world locations? Will there be an AI Big Boss that will patrol and protect or are you just going to be prey unless you can stay connected 24/7? That would be my biggest concern though as the rest looks like a crafty player can defend against your most average of players in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. But that would be just the only average and not the best of the best…
