That's One Brutal Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Trailer!
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 27th of February 2012 - 11:42 PM ]
So, I just finished watching the new "Brutal" Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City trailer and it has sparked my imagination, surprisingly. I want to know what was the most brutal, misanthropic, hellish and death splattered concrete path you've ever taken in a video game. Did you sit in front of a grunt in Halo and cackle maniacally as you emptied clip after clip of assault rifle ammo into its lifeless corpse and watch your frame rate drop hysterically due to the massive amounts of blood? Did you play Splatterhouse? That's a treat in its own right. Read More...

Darksiders The Novel Coming To A Store Near You
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of February 2012 - 11:54 PM ]
Here's some interesting news for the gaming world here. It looks like there is a novel being written for the Darksiders franchise. The interesting part is that it doesn't seem to be linked to the story of the current games, which is Darksiders and Darksiders II, outside of the characters. Well at least not directly linked as the story will be taking place a millennia before the events of the first game. Here's the basic break down that we have at this time. In DARKSIDERS: THE ABOMINATION VAULT, the Horsemen of the Apocalypse (beings charged with maintaining the Balance between the forces of Heaven and Hell) have uncovered a plot to resurrect ancient weapons of unimaginable power. by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 31st of October 2011 - 10:04 PM ]
Love 'em or hate 'em, Facebook games are a part of today's general gaming landscape. They come in many shapes and sizes – requiring various amounts of your time and (the developers hope) money. It's hard to give a hard and fast review on Facebook games, which like any other Massively Multiplayer Online game, it is constantly evolving. In lieu of a review, I decided to pull out my 10 Things You Ought to Know-style article and take a look at The Sims Social. You’re going to ask a lot of your friends. Read More...

Over the course of their 16-year career, the Foo Fighters have sold tens of millions of records, won half a dozen Grammy awards, and raised countless voices in sing-alongs of iconic anthems like "Everlong," "My Hero," "Learn to Fly", "All My Life," “Best of You,” and “The Pretender.” Foo Fighters' BlizzCon debut marks founder Dave Grohl's triumphant return to the convention after playing drums for Tenacious D in last year's show, and comes during an international arena, stadium, and festival tour promoting their seventh album, the international #1 record Wasting Light. Battlefield 3 Battleblogs
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 19th of September 2011 - 06:11 PM ]
So in my travels around the land of the internet I've come across some pretty cool stuff in regards to Battlefield 3. If you head on over to their website they've been giving some pretty sweet updates via their "BattleBlog" such as some co-op campaign and Multiplayer details. So instead of being lazy and having you run over to the website yourselves, which you should do anyways, I'm going to do my job. Now I did not know about this "BattleBlog" until a couple days ago, so hopefully I'm not too far behind. Multiplayer Goodies! Read More...

Review: Transformers: Dark Of The Moon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of July 2011 - 11:07 PM ]
As I am sure you undoubtedly know, the new Transformers film is in theaters. This also means that the new game based on the film, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, has hit shelves to try and draw more money out of our pockets due to nostalgia. Yep, here is yet another film based game. Another chance for a game company to rush something out just to catch a few extra bucks from the hype. Let's see how this fairs against all of the other film based shit games out there. The Story After the events of the last film, the Autobots have taken it upon themselves to help the human race by performing secret missions to keep the peace of the world. Read More...

Dark Of The Moon Shows How Bumblebee Stings
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of May 2011 - 10:42 PM ]
Unlike Mass Effect 3, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is still on track for its June release. I mean it better be as Activision is trying to get it out in the same window as the upcoming film as well. A delay now would be retardababy. Or at least give us the promise that is not just a film tie-in and a real follow up to War For Cybertron. Well with the being on track and all, there are a few more screen shots from the game to take a look at. You can see them below. Read More...

Command Come In... New Operation Raccoon City Game Play Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of April 2011 - 05:27 PM ]
It is in and it makes Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City look like a load of fun. The trailer also makes all of the screen shots look like there were originally working it out for the Wii. Granted, there are a lot of pre-rendered scenes in the trailer, but if you look fast, you can see the game play mixed in. From the looks of it, it looks to take RE: Outbreak and do what was originally intended for those games. Fast action and a bit of sneaking with a sprinkle of Zombies and B. Read More...

Finally We Get To Play As Umbrella In Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
by Andy [ Wednesday, 30th of March 2011 - 09:38 PM ]
So it would seem just like Resident Evil 4, Capcom is looking for another way to package its older titles for us all to purchase again. Only this time it is RE2 and RE3…but from the point of view of Umbrella. Now this could be a little interesting, minus the fact that you should be destined to lose from the start. Here is a teaser for the title that is slated for this winter. It's not all that much, but it does have a bit of game footage and it shows Leon being introduced again. Read More...

Transformers Milking The Dark Of The Moon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of February 2011 - 04:47 PM ]
I was hoping that we were all beyond this with the epic tea bagging Devastator gave us in the last Transformers film. But I guess Transformers: War For Cybertron did well enough for Activision to look into doing another Transformers game. With that let me present you Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. The next in the line of new Transformers games and a tie-in with the new film from look and sound of it. Why they have switched gears from the new games they have created to the tie-in I have no clue. Well outside of wanting to milk the consumer for more money because of the film. Read More...

Review: Bloodline Champions
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 25th of January 2011 - 08:52 PM ]
Bloodline Champions is the latest game from Swedish company Stunlock Studios and Funcom. Before you read any further let's get this question out of the way, "No this is not a DoTA clone." It is an online multiplayer arena based game. This game has no character leveling, power progression and no storyline. Thus making it easy for beginner players to hop into the action but also has enough options to reward the more advanced players. So let's jump into the arena. Read More...

Review: Saw II: Flesh And Blood
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of November 2010 - 07:47 PM ]
Another year and another, and touted as the last, Saw film and a new Saw game to go along with it. Some would say that the whole franchise has been going downhill for a long while now, on the film side, and Saw: The Video Game was not all that well received by gamers. "So why even make a sequel?" is what you have to be thinking. Is it to cash in on the last legs of the franchise? Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of October 2010 - 04:06 PM ]
So Saw II: Flesh And Blood hits selves next week just in time to ride all the hype from the upcoming film. Not to miss a beat, obviously Konami is going to throw some more screens out there to entice those of us that are fans of the franchise and interested in the game. Yes I am one of those said people hence why I try to keep you all up to date on what is going on here. Well it looks like in this most recent push that Jigsaw was inspired by Star Wars a bit. The old rust walls compacting in to crush the garbage that happens to be in between them. Read More...
