ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda, of Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls fame, has purchased id Software, of Doom, Wolfenstein, Quake, and Commander Keen fame. The move was surprising, as more people have been questioning who was going to buy Midway rather than who was going to buy id. Two New Wolfenstein Trailers Hospitals for some are just creepy places to be. People laying in "death beds," sharp medical instruments everywhere, creepy doctors or patients wandering about, and the ever draining of ones life force, money. So it makes sense that when you want to place a creepy scene or level in a game, you would choose an environment like this to give that real creep factor to the players. To say that I am excited about Eidos' new game Mini Ninjas is an understatement. I think I'm going to get some smoke bombs and adorn my office in samurai swords and kendo armor. One of the games that Eidos' will be debuting as a playable version at E3 is this little gem. Mini Ninjas is the story of a tiny ninja, named Hiro, and his big adventure against an evil warlord, and his quest to save the animals that have been changed into evil samurai, bringing harmony back to the world. From the screen shots it looks like you will be able to navigate through three different characters as well as take control of different animals. 12 More Iron Maiden Songs for Rock Band Just announced via their online 'zine, Harmonix just released their next wave of downloadable for Rock Band/Rock Band 2. Something which generally isn't that big of news. Generally. Except this time it is a full set of 12 Iron Maiden songs. Including one of my favorites, which was covered by Cradle of Filth, Hallowed Be Thy Name. Below is the full list as well as part of the 'zine just sent out. Druids, are you tired of looking the same as all the other Druids? Would you want to change colors in your bear and cat form? Do you want to dance in bear form in style? Well now you can, as Blizzard has announced new looks for the Druids! In the next major patch for World of Warcraft, druids will be able to find color schemes for the bear and cat forms. Blizzard made the following announcement on their Under Development page: “There will be five different designs for each of these forms for the Horde and Alliance. Night elves can choose to change their cat and bear look at any time by visiting the barber shop and changing their character's hair color, while tauren will be able to change which look they use by switching skin tones in the barber shop -- a new feature for tauren in the next major content patch. Last Thursday’s announcement that Midway Games, of Mortal Kombat fame, will be selling off its Mortal Kombat franchise along with its Chicago and Seattle studios is not shocking.  We have watched this proud company take its lumps this past year with threats of closing or being bought, having its debt purchased and ultimately filing for bankruptcy.  Having grown up in Chicago, Midway Games was always a steady force in the Windy City just off of California Ave.  I even applied and interviewed for a job there once upon a time. Looks like Nintendo just announced a very cool little goodie for the Nintendo Wii. As of August 24th you will be able to buy Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Nintendo Wii, all utilizing the Wii Remotes control system displayed in Metroid Prime 3. All those rumors about the PSP Go, all those rumors about a UMD-free PSP, and all those rumors about Sony announcing a new PSP at E3. Well it seems Sony is not finished with the current version of the PSP, as they are going to release a new bundle PSP with Dissidia: Final Fantasy. If you do not know by now, Dissidia: Final Fantasy is not another Final Fantasy RPG, but rather a Final Fantasy fighting game (no it is not another Ehrgeiz) and will include the main characters from all of the Final Fantasy titles in this game. As many may know, when we launched Aggrogamer.com, we brought the Pwned.com Podcast, Total Meltdown, over with us. We changed the name of it to the more suitable title of Aggrocast. We retain the same cast of Michael (G-Nitro), Brian (Quiglin), and Binh (Church). We also kept the same format but moved around a bit to settle in properly with the site, and we also made sure the same craziness, humor and entertainment is still there. Thief 4 Officially Announced This little tid bit of news comes in two fun flavors. One fore gamers and the other for those in the industry looking for a job. It was teased and rumored no more than a week ago that Eidos-Montréal was going to be bringing us all another round of sneaking around with the much anticipated Thief 4. Resident Evil: Archives I said it a long while back that this year was going to be the year of Resident Evil. Not that it would dominate the market and be game of the year. Looks like there's a new Fallout on the horizon, but this time it's taking place in good old Lady Luck Las Vegas. That's right at a press event in London, Bethesda Softworks said that Obsidian (known for KotORII, Neverwinter Nights 2 add-ons Storm of Zehir and Mask of the Betrayer) will be developing the new Fallout title.
