by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of July 2024 - 05:00 PM ]
Hulu Hulu is bringing more massive fun to SDCC with the announcement of Hulu Animayhem’s Factory this year Even more of the SDCC fun is gearing up for next week with the latest showing of Hulu Animayhem’s Factory. This was a thing that the company brought out last year to help show off many of the animated shows they have in their lineup as well as give fans all manner of photo ops and fun experiences to enjoy. Last year, they brought the Planet Express building to life along with many of the other animated shows on Hulu, and at SDCC 2024, they are coming hard by bringing us all the Slurm Factory from Futurama along with many other shows in tow. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of July 2024 - 09:00 PM ]
Adult Swim The backside of SDCC is being taken over by Adult Swim again with Adult Swim offering up a four-day pirate-themed event and panels One of the big staples of SDCC every year, at least outside of the main convention, has been the fun that Adult Swim brings every year. They have brought so much over the years to entertain not only on the show floor but also outside for those who might not be able to make it inside. This year, is not going to be anything different with Adult Swim bringing a Pirate Parrrty outside and many panels and screenings going on inside. All it is going to cost you is some time to get in line and check it out. Read More...

Yeah, you will not have to miss out on all of the fun video games and other pop culture things that are always out there at San Diego Comic-Con each year, as long as you are willing to help out and Become a Legend with the museum that also happens to be out there in the area. SDCC 2017 Experience — Blade Runner 2049
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Blade Runner While out at SDCC we had a chance to check out the Blade Runner 2049 off-site event. Here's what we experienced for Blade Runner 2049 at SDCC 2017 Given that Blade Runner 2049 will be hitting theaters soon, October 6th, it makes sense that there would be a big thing out at SDCC to show it all off and build even more hype for the film. A big thing it was too as one of the larger parking lots near the convention center was taken over by a massive tent that only displayed the film's name but held many fun things inside; that is if you were willing to wait in the extremely long lines to get in. Thankfully though, the Blade Runner 2049 experience out there was handled rather well and offered up two different experiences for fans to check out. Read More...

SDCC 2017 Experience — The Tick Takeover
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
The Tick While out at SDCC we had a chance to check out The Tick Takeover off-site event. Here's what we experienced for The Tick Takeover at SDCC 2017 Out at San Diego Comic Con there was a huge push for The Tick's new live action TV series and all the bells and whistles that go with that. It makes perfect sense given the source material coming from the pages of the comics, the convention in general, and the fact that Amazon would really want to push to get as many people looking at the new show as possible. That is of course why they took over a large portion of the off-site real estate out there and set up The Tick Takeover for fans new and old to come and experience what the show would be bringing and also give us all kind of a real world video game to play in the mix. Here's what you may or may not have been able to experience out there all from the perceptions of the team here. Read More...

MGC Rolls Big In Vegas
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of May 2010 - 10:41 PM ]
Over the last weekend, AggroGamer had the pleasure of heading out to the most recent Midnight Gaming Championship event held in Las Vegas, NV. It was full of fun, sun and most importantly gaming. Which of course also means gamers in the wild. Those said gamers also mixed into the wild world of street racing. An interesting hybrid of humanity if you ask me. In any instance, the big draw was the competitions held by MGC. Read More...

by Brian Bentley [ Friday, 29th of May 2009 - 05:20 PM ]
Respawning, reset, restart and resurrection, second chances all gamers know about and stand loyally with against the tides of gaming oppression.  As Binh mentioned in his story here, fans of Blizzard Entertainment are now getting a second chance to attend Blizzcon.  Fans of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo and some game called World of Warcraft (you’ve probably never heard of it) will now be able to purchase tickets online tomorrow starting at 10am PDT, most likely crippling the Internet with the surge of activity as they clamor for the chance to attend the spectacle that is Blizzcon.  Battle.net is the source for your ticketing needs, but if you’re unsuccessful tomorrow, you can always watch it on Pay Per View. Mo' Money, Mo' Blizzard
by Binh Nguyen [ Monday, 18th of May 2009 - 03:27 PM ]
So yesterday (5/16/09) was the big day for those who want to spend time in the World...of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. Tickets for Blizzcon went on sale yesterday and it looks like the economy has no affect, as tickets for Blizzcon sold out in 30 minutes. Apparently there is something that will get people out of the house and do something. Fortunately for us that would be Blizzcon 2009. For those who missed their chance to get into the action for the tickets, I would not worry. Read More...

Give More Than Just Money For Resident Evil 5
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of March 2009 - 09:19 PM ]
Come Give Resident Evil 5 A Shot It's not every day that a game company asks you to give more than just your money for a game. Even though it may seem like you have to, at least to get some of the crazy special editions or bundles for the game. Resident Evil 5 not being an exception. At least if you want to get the cool collector's edition with all the goodies. But in this case, you won't be giving your blood for the game, but for just the fact of donating. All under the fun guise of being for the game. Read More...

Pwned.com's Gaming Night Schwag Contest
by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 3rd of September 2008 - 12:47 AM ]
After going to the various conventions and expos, we at Pwned.com realized that we have a lot of schwag we picked up.  The items include posters, toys, buttons, stickers, demos and more.  Instead of hording all of this for ourselves, we are giving back to you, the members of the site.  We had quite a few ideas of how to give this stuff away, some ridiculous, some too much of a pain in the arse to do.  We finally came up with the idea of combining the contest with our Pwned.com Gaming Nights.
