If you are a fan of the comics or the TV version of The Walking Dead then you might be excited to learn that there are a load of new details out for The Walking Dead Game from TellTale. By loads I am talking a nice 14+ minute "webisode" called Playing Dead and this is just the first of what can be assumed many episodes that cover everything that the studio is thinking of when it comes to making the game. If you don't want to listen to the entire episode here, let me give you a few bullet points on the new info. You will miss out on a few of the in game screen shots, but for the most part here is what is touched upon. Read More...

Here's Why You Should Get The Darkness II
by Matt Waitt [ Thursday, 9th of February 2012 - 05:52 PM ]
With the recent release of The Darkness II, I feel obligated to convince you guys to give this game a shot. I recently had a conference Q&A with the developers of The Darkness II. It was a fun and exciting new experience for me to sit down and listen to what challenges they faced while making the game and what are their personal favorites about the game. The Darkness II takes place two years after the first game, Jackie has gone from a mob hit man to the don of the family. Jackie has had the Darkness subdued for a couple years until he is attacked by an organization called "The Brotherhood" who know all of the Darkness' strengths and its weakness. Read More...

Darksiders The Novel Coming To A Store Near You
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of February 2012 - 11:54 PM ]
Here's some interesting news for the gaming world here. It looks like there is a novel being written for the Darksiders franchise. The interesting part is that it doesn't seem to be linked to the story of the current games, which is Darksiders and Darksiders II, outside of the characters. Well at least not directly linked as the story will be taking place a millennia before the events of the first game. Here's the basic break down that we have at this time. In DARKSIDERS: THE ABOMINATION VAULT, the Horsemen of the Apocalypse (beings charged with maintaining the Balance between the forces of Heaven and Hell) have uncovered a plot to resurrect ancient weapons of unimaginable power. Aggrocast Episode Ninety Two: Coming Soon Q1
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 1st of February 2012 - 04:54 PM ]
Episode 92 of the Aggrocast takes a different route as Corey and Brian are left to their own devices, which means the episode goes off the rails in the first couple minutes. All kidding aside, the guys go into what they've been playing including Puzzle Quest 2, Tiny Tower, Final Fantasy XIII, and Dungeon Defenders. There is no Care / Don't Care this week, but we still drop a Community Spotlight on Pwned Game Nights. The main topic for the episode revolves around Brian and Corey breaking down the major release schedule for the rest of the first quarter of 2012. Read More...

The Blue Mountains Of The Secret World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of January 2012 - 10:45 PM ]
With trailers like the one below for The Secret World it makes it harder to remember that this is a new MMO and not a new Survival Horror game. Here we are getting a look at an area of the game called Blue Mountain and it feels just like another Silent Hill. Creepy mountains, mines, a slew of twisted creatures roaming the streets and crazy history dating back longer than anyone would care to remember. Sounds close, but obviously it is its own "place" within The Secret World. Back to the original point I stated though, after you watch this trailer try and honestly say that you didn't mistake it for something other than an MMO. Read More...

Review: AMY
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of January 2012 - 08:13 PM ]
It's January so it is about time for a new survival horror title to come out, am I right? Well here is AMY from VectorCell - a new survival horror downloadable title for us to start the new year with a scare. Question is: will it scare the digital funds out of your wallet or just make you fearful that you will be out a few bucks for something that falls flat? Well let me give you my break down of the game. The Story In typical survival horror style, the tale revolves around two characters who must survive what looks like the zompocalypse. Read More...

While this list is not entirely comprehensive, it does include quests you really should not miss if you decide to sit with the game. The Where's Waldo Edition Of Darksiders II
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of January 2012 - 06:29 PM ]
No there isn't a new edition of Darksiders II being announced. But the new "Death Eternal" trailer for the game has that feel to it. After watching it the first time I felt like I needed to go back and play along with each new showing of Death in the background or foreground. It's a fun game to do here because the "trailer" doesn't show a single thing about the game and should be labeled more as just a marketing video. Outside of Death's mask being shown over and over and a pre-rendered character model at the end this video is more fluff than anything. Don't fret though. Read More...

BioShock Infinite's 1999 Mode Makes It Not So Infinite
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of January 2012 - 08:14 PM ]
Maybe it is just me but I find it funny that before when talking about BioShock Infinite the phrase "infinite possibilities" was tossed around and now there is a mode that makes everything worlds more finite. I'm talking about the 1999 mode that has been announced for the game. This mode is more or less another difficulty level like Normal or Hard except that it has one major difference; everything you do is set in stone. At first you might think that is mostly the case from before. You pick up a skill and that is your spec path for the most part with a little branching possible later. Read More...

Using Intimidation As A Tactic In I Am Alive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Sunday, 22nd of January 2012 - 06:23 PM ]
Earlier in my hands on with I Am Alive I spoke about who will be able to use intimidation and other tactics as a form of "combat" in the game. Also how not everyone needs to be killed but instead bypassed in other ways. Well it would seem that Ubisoft didn't think I fully explained it there or at least that is how I am taking it since there is a new video showcasing this part of the game. If you look below you will see a new trailer for the game and it really does explain things a bit better than I did. It also shows another weapon that wasn't even mentioned in the demo I played. What Do The Devs Of Darksiders 2 Think Of Death?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 21st of January 2012 - 07:30 PM ]
That is a good question seeing as they are bringing Death to life (sorry) in the game. For the answer to the question we can turn right to recent "Death Rises" Developer's Diary for Darksiders II that has hit the internet. Let's take a look. Before I get into all the cool things shown here I need to get something off my chest. Do you find it funny that the character Death is automatically labeled to be male? Yes the character model is masculine as is the voice, but for something that is more of a Force of Nature over a Gendered being I find it funny that the default is to go with male. Read More...
