Finally we get details on the new Halo title everyones been wondering about. The Halo 3 expansion is called Halo 3 recon and will serve as a prequel to the events before Halo 3. Instead of playing as the Master Cheif, you play as a UNSC soldier who is the new hero for a new campaign. Though this new hero doesn't have a name yet. Game is set to release sometime next fall. Portal REALLY Still Alive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of October 2008 - 03:29 PM ]
Download Portal: Prelude I mentioned a little while ago about a group of people getting together and doing a prequel to Portal. All original stuff leading up to the first game. Something like 400+ original lines of voice acting and such to that. Well the wait for this is now over. As of yesterday, you are now able to download the first build of these prequel levels to the game. It is a pretty big, well relatively big, download of almost 800 MB through Fileplanet right now, but they are looking for more mirrors for download. So feel free to download and try this extra content and post a review. Read More...

by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 8th of October 2008 - 10:13 PM ]
A Sony exec, namely Patrick Seybold, told potential Playstation 3 consumers that no holiday price cuts, let alone permanent, would be in the works as it would cost the company too much money. *FACTOID: Sony made $88.7 billion in revenue last fiscal year while Microsoft, whose company recently permanently dropped prices of their XBOX 360's at least $50, made $60.4 Billion in revenue last fiscal year, $28.3 billion less than Sony* While people with an HDTV are getting a 2 for 1 with the $399. LittleBigPlanet In Review
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of October 2008 - 09:01 PM ]
My Review Of LittleBigPlanet So if you look back at the last few weeks and all the buzz surrounding this game one would think that they were trying to make up for a shotty game. Hell I did. Then again, I was going on the history repeating it theory. But I did get some good hands on time this last weekend with it, seeing as I was not able to make it to E for All. So here we go. Starting out, you are required to flow through a few levels of the game to learn how the game plays and the controls of the game. Read More...

Japanese Man Arrested For Deleting Friends Near Max MMO Character
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 6th of October 2008 - 04:58 PM ]
A Japanese man with an intent to use his friend's three and a half year old MMORPG character, is now being prosecuted for cyber-crimes in Japan for deleting said character. Both men are friends in real life and on the server, though I'd say now that they were friends at this point.  The guy who actually created the character was about to finally max out his character after the long three years plus journey, so when he found out all his hard work was deleted, he contacted the local police departments cyber crimes unit. When the friend was caught, the motive turned out to be simple jealousy than anything else, as he told police he just "Wanted his character." The perp is being charged with unauthorized access, but most likely should've been charged with criminal damage or theft. Read More...

EA Tells Epic Games That They Were Always Sexier Than Take Two
by Ben Brody [ Monday, 6th of October 2008 - 03:20 AM ]
So that thing with Take-Two didn't work out huh, well there's always more fish in the sea, and it looks like EA may have another one on it's hook. Word on the street (from gameguru) states that EA is looking to gobble up Epic Games in an effort to win back the hearts and minds of the hardcore gamer. Now gameguru may not have the best grammar or the most trustworthy sources however the fact that EA recently struck a deal with People Can Fly (an in-house studio belong to none other than Epic Games) only strengthens their claims. Along with the claims of the Epic buyout, gameguru also indicates that EA would like to get it's hands on Unreal 4. Read More...

Brett Ratner Signs On For God Of War Movie Yesterday, it was announced that the man behind the last X-men movie and Rush Hour 3 has signed on to direct the God of War film. Now I know what you are thinking, "There goes another great game ruined by a film." I know I thought it at first as well. Especially looking at the last films directed by the man. But then I started thinking further, a stretch I know, and came to another conclusion. It isn't all just down to him. Read More...

by Michael Camacho [ Wednesday, 1st of October 2008 - 04:01 PM ]
The Rock Band 2 registration site is now up and running for those looking to get their 20 songs via download.  While the songs aren't available yet, you can register now, so Harmonix can e-mail you the download code when they become available in a few weeks.  Also while filling out the form, it has a comment box where you can suggest Bands & Songs you would like to see on Rock Band 2.  Unfortunately, no word on what will be included in this 20 song DLC as of yet.  I personally hope they throw in some J-Rock, but I know it's all wishful thinkin.
