E3 Hands On — Metro Exodus
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus While at E3, I was able to see Metro Exodus in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here is my take on Metro Exodus. After all the plagues of delays, I was finally able to get my hands on Metro Exodus this year out at E3 and see how the game has advanced over its predecessors. Sure, we have seen quite a few interesting trailers in the past and a few tech demos where 4A Games has shown off the game's engine, but graphics do not make a game. It makes it look pretty and in a game like Metro Exodus it helps with the immersion, but it is not the sole reason to give the game a chance. Read More...

Death Stranding’s Cast Is Expanded & We Finally Get Some Gameplay Out Of E3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Death Stranding There was more to see for Death Stranding out of E3 and it shows some new gameplay while keeping us all confused about what Death Stranding actually is Another of the titles we knew were going to be a focus for E3 this year was Death Stranding and many out there were hoping to get a better understanding of what the game is actually going to be about. That is besides being another weird adventure Kojima Productions is going to take us on and house a whole lot of famous actors and directors in the game. Star power can only go so far and even with adding the heroines of Death Stranding in the latest trailer, Léa Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner, we still have a lot we are waiting to get fully defined for the game. Twin Mirror Will Have You Questioning What Is Real In 2019
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of June 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Twin Mirror Another new game is announced with Twin Mirror and we may be questioning our brains when we finally come to the end of Twin Mirror It has not even been more than a week since DontNod released their last title and here we are with an announcement for Twin Mirror here just before E3. I am not going to complain at all, but it definitely looks like they are on a roll here and bringing out titles that take us into different worlds and narratives on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Not to mention that Bandai Namco teamed up with Sony to make Twin Mirror the third early announcement for the week before E3 officially kicks off. Not a terrible way for any of them to start it all off. Read More...

Review — Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of June 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Vampyr We sit down and review Vampyr. A new take on the vampire mythology where NPC deaths matter. Here is our review of Vampyr It has been hyped, delayed, hyped again, and now Vampyr has finally risen from the grave to bring us another interpretation on the mythology of the children of the night and the sweet music they make. At least that is the goal that DontNod has set out to do here with the game and its different take on a historic tragedy most know little about. I know I have been hyped to get to play the game and see how this dark world thrives as well as the undead bloodsuckers that inhabit it. Read More...

Assassin’s Creed The next title in the Assassin’s Creed line has been officially announced after many “Leaks” for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey popped up online Mark another “leaked” title for this year’s E3 on the list as we now have Assassin’s Creed Odyssey officially announced just over a week out from the main event. Vampyr Has A Whole Lot Of New Blood Flowing Gameplay To Take In
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of May 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Vampyr In a recent developer stream for Vampyr, we had a whole lot of new gameplay to take in so we can better understand what is going on in Vampyr We are now a week away from Vampyr hitting our PS4, Xbox One, or PC and to help that time slip on by, it looks like we have more gameplay to gaze upon for the game. Of course, if you were able to catch the livestream that DontNod brought us from before then you will have already experienced what we will have coming at us here in short order. Given that there may have been many that missed it and want to see more for Vampyr, it is a good thing that it was archived and ready for us to take in now. Read More...

Metro Exodus Has Been Delayed Just A Bit But It Could Be A Good Thing
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of May 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus A slight delay for Metro Exodus is set out there and now we will not be seeing Metro Exodus until early 2019 instead of late 2018 Do not expect to see Metro Exodus anytime this year, at least in its final form, as it has now been quietly delayed. I say quietly as there was not a huge announcement or statement out there from 4A Games or Deep Silver on it not hitting the PS4, Xbox One, or PC in late 2018 and now aiming for Q1 2019. No, this update was kind of slipped into the middle of the full statement on the parent company's earnings report. Something that a casual fan who is excited for Metro Exodus may have missed but, thankfully, you have us out there skimming through it all and catching it. Read More...

We Have More Of Beyond Good & Evil 2 In Motion Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of May 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Beyond Good & Evil New gameplay for Beyond Good & Evil 2 is here and it gives us a nice look at how we can navigate Beyond Good & Evil 2 as well as kick some ass with melee More gameplay for Beyond Good & Evil 2 is out there now after the most recent stream update that Ubisoft just held. Get those hype engines running as it gives us a better look at some of the traversal and navigation mechanics we will get you use in the game. Not only that, but we get to see some of the new melee mechanics coming to Beyond Good & Evil 2 and just how the team captured them and brought them into the game. All in a work-in-progress kind of way, but it is a way that all of the long-time fans can see a bit more of the game before E3 and get those motors running a bit longer. Read More...

The Desolation Of Mordor Is Coming Soon To Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of May 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Shadow Of War A new trailer for the next DLC for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War is here and it shows us a bit more on how this will expand the story Shadow Of War has already given us The story for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War is getting further expanded here soon and we have our first look at the next DLC that is coming. Well, more of a Story Expansion than a DLC but it is what it is for now and Monolith Productions is wrapping it all up for us and putting a little Orc skull on it. It would seem like this would be the last of the Expansion Pass DLC for Shadow Of War as well, although there is always the chance of more. Read More...

The Vigor In Their Blood Is All We Need In Vampyr
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of May 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Vampyr A new trailer for Vampyr is here and gives us a bit more gameplay to look at as well as more on how feeding in Vampyr will lead to our strength We are just about a month out from the launch of Vampyr and that means we should start getting a bit more gameplay to look at instead of the amazing cinematic or in-engine cutscenes we have had so far. They are nice and all, but we all want to see what DontNod has made for us in terms of actually playing the game and not what it will look like. That and it would be nice to see more on how Vampyr's unique "leveling" system will work. Read More...

A Final Release Date Has Been Set Down For Overload On PC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of April 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Overload The release date for Overload has been set for PC with a console version of Overload slated for Q3 of this year If six-degree-of-freedom tunnel shooters are your thing then get ready for one more as Overload has been saddled with a release date now and will be leaving Early Access. That may sound like this is only a PC title based on that, but Revival Productions has just wrapped that version up and packing it up for May 31st. Overload is also hitting the PS4 and Xbox One, but that will be sometime in Q3 of this year at this point. Do not let that detract you from the announcement of it getting its full release in just over a month from now. Read More...
