Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The week is coming to a close and we went in on a whole lot of video games as we normally do. A whole lot of good, bad, and up-and-coming indie titles here. Getting to see everything for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth this week was a highlight as we slog on through Suicide Squad: Kills The Justice League. There was also a nice little showing for titles like Demonsomnia and Rise Of The Ronin in the mix too. Read More...

A New Name & New Footage Is Here For Death Stranding 2: On The Beach
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 5th of February 2024 - 06:00 PM ]
Death Stranding The name for Death Stranding 2 has changed a bit as we watch Death Stranding 2: On The Beach ask some new questions for the world Things are getting weirder and things are changing up for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. Yes, that is now the new name of the game that Kojima Productions is going with for this PS5 exclusive title. A bit of a reference to the last game as well as a showing of what we are going to be doing in the upcoming game. Although, it does look as if Death Stranding 2 is still going to be leaning toward the reconnecting of humanity but going a bit more global than we did before. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 1/2/24 — 1/5/24
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 6th of January 2024 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The year has kicked off and, just as we thought, things are a bit slow on the gaming side and video games out there. That is to be expected. Although, with certain copyrights being lifted, we did see that Infestation 88 did not take long to make the announcement. Then there were a few more updates for Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown and a possible hint at when we can play Silent Hill 2 remake. All of that and a build toward the release of the Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League in the coming month too. Read More...

Death Stranding A new update for Death Stranding 2 is out there to let us know the current state that Death Stranding is in out there The year ended without much of an update out there for Death Stranding 2. Or so many of us all thought. As it all turns out, though, Kojima Productions had one more small little nugget to drop on us all just before the New Year. A small update for Death Stranding 2 and a few other projects that Kojima and the team have for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Some titles hitting all of those platforms and some on hitting one of them. Read More...

Death Stranding 2 Is On The Way & Showing Why We Should Not Have Connected
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of December 2022 - 10:00 PM ]
Death Stranding Death Stranding 2 is officially in the works for us and it looks like it could be showing off why Death Stranding should not have been played It would not be The Game Awards if we did not have so many Hideo Kojima callouts and something from Kojima Productions here to show off to the world. Now, here we are, with the announcement of Death Stranding 2 in the works to carry on the story and themes of the original title on to the PS5 in the near future. At least we are assuming it will be the near future as this is the announcement that Death Stranding 2 is in production and not much else. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of January 2022 - 06:00 PM ]

Also being delivered out of CES 2022 of all places, but it looks like 505 Games is setting things down for the Kojima Productions game and not on the PS4 and PS5. Those that have been waiting patiently to experience what Death Stranding has to offer will be able to get just that in Spring of 2022. Okay, it is not a specific date but it is a shorter three-month window that it was for the entire 2022 year that it was before. Read More...

Death Stranding Launches Onto PC With One More Updated Look
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of July 2020 - 09:00 PM ]
Death Stranding One more look at the PC features for Death Stranding is here as we get ready to go at the story set out there for Death Stranding one more time The day is finally upon us and those holding out to play Death Stranding on the PC will have their chance. Pretty much as you are reading this, you will have a chance to see what the PS4 gamers had to experience from Kojima Productions that weirdly emulated the current state of the world we are all in. A bit of a different degree given where Death Stranding goes to, but still a bunch of humans bunkered down and relying on delivery people to keep them all alive. Seems a bit to spot on, but we can all see what we want to see in our entertainment and such. Read More...

Death Stranding Is Going To Take A Bit Longer To Arrive On The PC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of April 2020 - 05:00 PM ]
Death Stranding The PC release date for Death Stranding has been pushed out to July as the Death Stranding team is still working from home Here we go with another title getting the delay due to the current pandemic as Death Stranding for the PC is now coming to us on July 14th now. Not the biggest of delays to be had but given that Kojima Productions has been on work-from-home orders for a bit now, it all makes sense. It could have been a lot worse and Death Stranding could just not be out there right now, but for now it is just those waiting for the PC port that are going to have to suffer. You can read that as there are other options right now if you cannot wait the extra month or so to play the game. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 4/6/20 — 4/10/20
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of April 2020 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week All the video games had a nice big announcement this week did they not? Well, at least some of the big ones out there did as I am certain not many wanted to rival the big release for Final Fantasy VII Remake or ride the coattails of Resident Evil 3 there. That does not change the fact that we had a whole lot of news out there for all kinds of video games like Daymare and Hellpoint to name a few more. Obviously, there was a lot more to dig into there, but we will let you do that at your own speed for now. Read More...

Death Stranding’s Concept Looks To Have Come From An Expected Place
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of December 2019 - 08:00 PM ]
Death Stranding If you were curious on where the concept for Death Stranding came from, look no further as we now have an explanation on how Death Stranding came to be Since it was first announced, there has been a lot of questions about what Death Stranding was about and it has even progressed further into the realm after it launched and gamers had a chance to experience it on the PS4. It is a weird game and is definitely not for everyone, but it seems like there was a better thought process behind its creation than Kojima Productions wanting to just make a game. I am sure that was part of it, but it is interesting to know that the idea for Death Stranding had been floating around in the mind of the director for some time and all based on a trip to a museum. This Week In Video Games 11/4/19 — 11/8/19
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 9th of November 2019 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week This week has now come to its close here and we had all kinds of new stuff in the world of video games to take in. Well, that is a bit of an exaggeration as this week was definitely a bit slower and more focused on Death Stranding and a few other video games that were released this week or soon. I mean, we did start off with the big Overwatch 2 news out there, but it seems like Jumanji and then Life Is Strange 2 picked up the rest of the slack. What little there was after the big release and news dump for the prior mentioned title. Read More...

Dive Into The Opening Minutes That Are Coming For Death Stranding
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 7th of November 2019 - 06:00 PM ]
Death Stranding The first half an hour of Death Stranding is out there to try to explain more on what we will be experiencing in Death Stranding Some of us out there cannot wait for Death Stranding to launch tomorrow (11/8) on the PS4 and that is why we are here right now. There are only mere hours until the game drops out there as of this writing and the hype for Kojima Productions first solo title is still so high that we now have the opening minutes to the game out there to further that along or turn people off to the game. My guess is that it is going to be the former as there has been a lot of hype for Death Stranding and I do not see that halting anytime soon. Even if some of the early reviews out there are showing that it is all divided still. Read More...
