Real Life Metal Slug

Again in my travels across the lush open world of YouTube I have come across a golden gem; A short little film by Andrewfilms of how awesome it would be to play Metal Slug via Augmented reality. A great show of post editing skills, makes this a must see viral video. The short captures the good old nostalgia of Metal Slug, a truly epic series of running and gunning. Borderlands 2 Game Play Footage

So I was surfing around YouTube and came across this amazing fourteen minute long sneak peak of Borderlands 2. Just watching the first five minutes I was blown away by the unprecedented amount of changes to the game; Completely revamped menu system that is all in-world and amazing improvements of enemy AI, they actually climb walls and jump over gaps to get to you. A Little Twsited Metal Before PAX Prime

I like to think that there is no one sadder that myself about the Twisted Metal delay. I'm sure there might be, but I don't want to make assumptions here. No need to make and Ass out of U and Ptions. Am I right or am I right? Of course I am. Moving on now. Well we might not be getting the game in October and there won't be a "beta" for the multiplayer, at least as David Jaffe has stated. What we will be getting is a new playable map at PAX Prime. Borderlands 2 Is Getting Chilly Too

Living in Vegas it is rare that we get to see snow. I'm talking real heavy snow. I personally hate the stuff but I do love the temperature that comes along side with snow. I do enjoy going outside on a nice brisk day where I can still wear short sleeves and not freeze my balls off. Much like the poster boy for Borderlands 2 as you will see below. Batman Getting The Cold Shoulder In Arkham City

Here we go with yet another villain shown for Batman: Arkham City - Mr. Freeze. If you look below, you'll see the nice, shiny new trailer for this latest reveal. At first glance, it really just seems like another step to stop Bats from getting things under control. That is, until he begins to meander around like a smaller, frozen Big Daddy. It does look like Freeze will be adding a few new environmental challenges for Batman from the video. Most notably would have to be the freezing of ledges. Read More...

Dead Island Shows How Team Work Is Golden During Zompocalypse

When choosing one's zombie team, you generally want to have a good group whom you know will watch your back and not hesitate to kill a zombie. There is no room for cry baby whiners who will end up killing you and the group down the line. It is just good tactics for survival. It would seem very amateurish if you didn't know that rule when it comes to surviving the zombie plague be it urban or not. So what is the big news here as it clearly isn't just a lesson on surviving Zompocalypse? Well Dead Island has officially gone gold so we can expect it to keep the September 6th launch date. The Tester Season 3 Is Upon Us

Borderlands 2 Announced And Playable

The case I'm talking about is that 2K Games sent out no official press release and just used the magazine to spread the word. So everyone out there who doesn't have a subscription and/or doesn't want to pick up the magazine is SOL. You could also be like myself and still have yet to receive your copy in the mail. Dead Island Is Making Curb-Stomping A Good Thing

It should be well known by now that each of the four playable characters in Dead Island has a finishing move for the undead when they are brought to their knees. The undead, not the character. Most of these moves include a stomp to the head or some other way of putting the final nail in the coffin for the undead. Diablo III Brings Real Currency Trading

Well here's some interesting Diablo III news. Players will be able to exchange in game items for real currency! The service will be hosted through an unannounced third party company. The Auction House will be very similar to an E-Bay style system but also completely optional. Players will be able to purchase gold, weapons, armor and runestones on their current Battle.net accounts, but Blizzard says there will be no "Game play affecting" items available for this type of trade. At the time of this writing Blizzard has no plans to post items directly and will leave the item trading up to the players. Read More...

A Steam Powered Overhaul

Valve has announced that they will be doing a major overhaul of their popular Steam service. The new system will provide users with a number of new features to support and streamline the publishing process of digital downloads. This will require all new "all-new server and client code" but it will benefit the players in the end. "The maximum aggregate bandwidth of the system will be greater than the current system; this will help us satisfy spikes in demand when there’s a big release. Waterworks In The New Mortal Kombat DLC

The guys over at NetherRealm Studios have released a few trailers for their newest Mortal Kombat DLC character Rain. The trailers show off some of his back story, which is quite nice. Seems that after being orphaned from Shao-Khan's merciless army, the resistance adopted him and made him into a very powerful but arrogant warrior. After being denied a command position in the resistance he betrayed them and joined his mortal enemy, Shao-Khan. The trailers also shows off some very brutal combos and attacks that we can expect to dish out and sorely take to the face a couple dozen times. Read More...

WarCorner: Real ID Party Available For Testing

Blizzard a while back made mention that players would be able to group together (same faction) and be able to run through random dungeons together across servers. Crazy I know, but it is Blizzard. They have the technology and the man power to make such miracles happen. I got an e-mail today confirming just that. The Real ID Party system went into live testing today and players will be able to experience cross-realm game play with friends. How this works is players will be required to have the Real ID of their friends they want to play with and invite them into a group. Read More...
