A Mass Of Images
by Kevin [ Friday, 1st of May 2009 - 07:32 PM ]
After spying these over at Kotaku (and IGN for the wallpapers), I find myself getting even more excited for future information concerning the game. While the 'Death of Shepherd' has been mulled over by speculative fans, I wonder more about the supporting characters that you encountered in the first game. There is plenty of room to to explore more about the relationships between them and their history, and to visit some of their home worlds as well. You can check out the newest art here. Read More...

Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Revealed
by Ben Brody [ Saturday, 25th of April 2009 - 05:33 AM ]
Preordering Sucker Punch's inFamous will get you more than just one good game, it'll get you into a multiplayer beta of another blockbuster game, Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Completely unknown is what the multiplayer entails. Co-op would be nice, though it wouldn't be suitable for a beta. Deathmatch would be cool too, as would capture the flag and a headquarters style game. More details should emerge on Monday when SCE makes their "electrifying announcement". Read More...

Public Leaking At GDC 2009
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of March 2009 - 05:09 PM ]
Videos Leaked From GDC 2009 While the Game Developers Conference that just took place in San Francisco just last week isn't the largest place for crazy game announcements and substantial news, at least it wasn't my impression, there are always a few little things that get shown off or spoken about while there. A lot of it is also "off the record" type stuff that gets shown and brought up. Or even simpler, a please do not record and show off anything you see in this conference or booth. Read More...

Concepts Not In Limbo
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 25th of February 2009 - 05:39 PM ]
Some Concept Art From Dante's Inferno After seeing the awesome trailer for the game yesterday, I thought it would be a bit more time before we saw anything further for this game (Dante's Inferno). Partially I was right, partially I was wrong. Unless of course you count concept art for some of the scenes in the trailer to be new and cool images for the game. If you do though, then here you go. EA has handed out some of the artwork behind some of the visuals you got to see so far. Read More...

Uncharted 2 Revealed
by Jesse [ Tuesday, 2nd of December 2008 - 06:15 AM ]
Since the days of the original PlayStation, the holy trinity of Sony exclusive developers, Insomniac Games, Naughty Dog, and Sucker Punch have always worked hard to produce amazing, wholly original content for the various Sony consoles. Today it was first revealed by Game Informer that Naughty Dog, creators of Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter are working on a follow-up to their hugely popular PS3 title Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. The sequel titled Uncharted 2: Among Thieves follows Nathan Drake on an adventure involving the voyages of 13th century explorer Marco Polo. While new characters and locations are expected, it was also announced that a new free climbing mechanic and new stealth sections will be incorporated into the game. Read More...

by Jesse [ Friday, 14th of November 2008 - 10:14 PM ]
Two weeks after the release of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Lucasarts announced that they were working on two expansion packs for the game. The first of these downloadables arrived this week. The pack however, is primarily a visually oriented download as it gives players the ability to use ten new character skins. The cost for the character pack is $4.99 on the PlayStaion Store and 400 Microsoft Points ($5. Read More...

Soul Calibur IV DLC
by Jesse [ Friday, 24th of October 2008 - 04:23 AM ]
This week the rumors have finally come to pass. Both Darth Vader and Yoda who were originally released as “console exclusive characters” have been made available for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Sadly the price seems a little steep as Vader who first made his appearance on the PS3 is know downloadable on the 360 for the cost of 400 Microsoft points (or $5.00) and Yoda who appeared on the 360 can be downloaded off the PlayStation Store for the price of $4.99. LucasArts and BioWare to Hold Joint Press Conference to Unveil “New Game” on October 21st
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 8th of October 2008 - 05:07 AM ]
October 21st, 2008 at 2pm at a location that will be kept secret due to the fact that if it were revealed then all you nerds would go bum-rush it. No, it's 99.9% likely to NOT be an announcement about Full Throttle 2, as nice as it would be, but much much much MUCH more likely to be the widely rumored KOTOR MMO (aka the worst kept secret in the biz). Rumors of the existence of such a game began back last October when "a source close to BioWare" said that the MMO that BioWare was currently working on was going to take place in the KOTOR realm. That same source also said the game was targeted for a 2009 release, which would time up perfectly to this announcement. Read More...

Summon Up The Concepts
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of August 2008 - 07:54 PM ]
Final Fantasy XIII Exhibition Of Original Drawings So on top of announcing the fact that there is going to be a demo for the game come this March, another bit that was featured at the DKΣ3713 event was some of the concept work for the new FF game. In particular, three of the summons and a few locations in the game. Not the best resolution that was available, but it is something for all of us fanboys/girls to drool over while we wait for the demo and release of the game. Here are some of the concepts for Ifrit, Sheva and Carbunkle. Read More...

Set Phasers To MMO
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of July 2008 - 08:59 PM ]
Star Trek Online So I frequent the Cryptic Studios stuff now and again, forums and booths at conventions. Hell, on Saturday, I even went to their VIP party for City of Heroes players and Devs. Please don't ask how it was. But this was something that kind of caught me off guard. In fact, I didn't know it was under their belt until today when they turned on their interwebs for the game sit and posted screen shots. The game? Well the title said it, Star Trek Online. Concepts of Diablo III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of July 2008 - 04:25 PM ]
Running Pictures With The Devil So I was bouncing about IGN and found the below. There are loads more images on there, but here are a few that I liked and decided to show you, my readers. All three of you. But I will say to go to their site and check out all the rest of them. There are some other really gorgeous images there. No what do I think about this? Just from these concepts, this game looks like it won't disappoint fans of the game. Read More...

by Taylor Rose [ Friday, 2nd of May 2008 - 08:43 PM ]
This may be fairly old news to any of you hardcore Battlefield fans, but for those of you who haven't heard, the EAD.I.C.E. team behind Battlefield 1942™ and Battlefield 2™ has developed a new cartoon shooter: Battlefie ld Heroes. Set to be released for XP/Vista users this summer, Battlefield Heroes is EA's first title that's completely free to download and play. It will be funded through advertisements on the game's website and on the start menu of the game; no longer will we be bothered with obnoxious in-game ads! Every map will be ad-free. Read More...

Nintendo Announces Worldwide Mario Kart Wii Tournaments So you got the game. You've played the game. You've played against friends. You've taken nudie pix with the game box blocking out the goods. Well now, Nintendo is going to give you yet another option to take with the game. Like, I don't know, enter into online tournaments hosted by them online. All through the Mario Kart Channel. Sounds pretty sweet of them to do, and with no wait as well. Read More...

More "Real" Art
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of April 2008 - 04:07 PM ]
Artist Rendition Of Pikachu Nursing Maybe it is just me, but I enjoy seeing these "realistic" artist renditions of imaginary characters. Check out my other Narticle about the others. They are just really fun to see. Bet you never thought that Pikachu breed like a normal animal and such. Maybe Nintendo should incorporate some scenes like these in later releases. At least once the fans of the game grow up and such. Much like how the Harry Potter books got darker and darker as the audience was suppose to be older. Read More...

Artist PWN Classic Views
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of April 2008 - 03:58 PM ]
Realistically Painted Bowser So it looks like it is becoming a big new fun thing to redo some classic characters and make them look real. That is, photoshop a person to have the actual body type of say Mario or Homer Simpson. If you haven't seen them ye, I will warn you that they are kind of creepy to look at. Just think how a real person would look if they had their proportions and brace yourself. This new one though is a nicely painted version of how Bowser would look if he was actually in the real world. Read More...
