So it has been an interesting past couple of days with the two video “leaked” from the YouTube channel “SCELabs.” They had people wondering in regards to if Sony is actually going to be announcing PlayStation 4 or if it was something for th 3D gaming patch. Well, it isn't for the PS4. Shocker huh? Yesterday I reported about a video that was “leaked” in regards if Sony is going to be announcing a new console or working on 3D gaming with the current PlayStation 3. Today we have the second “leaked” video for your viewing pleasure. In this video you will see a man sitting in his chair staring at the screen while two Japanese lab workers asking if he was ready. After he puts on headphones and a pair of what appears to be cheap 3D glasses, they turn on a machine and the fun begins. Yeah, you read that title right. The video you are about to watch is spreading around like wildfire. Or not. In the video you will see the camera man running through the halls via Blair Witch/Cloverfield style as he is in a hurried to get something on camera. With 3D on the rise, in movies, television, and typical home entertainment, it is nice to see Nintendo jumping on the bandwagon, and getting 3D to the gamers sooner than expected. Nintendo has announced that they will have more information regarding their new 3DS at E3 on June 15th. Nintendo is claiming that players will need no special eye wear in order to enjoy the tasty 3D game experience. The new 3DS will be backwards compatible with Nintendo DS and DSi games. As CES 2010 is now under way, so are the many news and notes that are coming out of the convention. The first event that Brian and I went to was the nVidia Press Conference. As we went to sit down we were given 3D glasses for a part of the conference. As the wait finally ended and the music started to kick into high gear, so did the montage that nVidia put together. The montage began with video games and movies but wasn't in 3D yet. After the montage was over, the President of nVidia, Jen-Hsun Huang came out and talked about not only the evolution of desktop PC (personal computers) but also the evolution of portable PC in general. 3D Realms, the developers of Duke Nukem Forever has shut down.  Due to a cut off of funding from Take Two studios, 3D realms employees have already been let go. Take Two is keeping the publishing rights to Duke Nukem Forever, and Apogee Software have just confirmed that the situation at 3D Realms has not affected the development for the new handheld titles for PSP and Nintendo DS. The handheld will be developed by Frontline Games'. Duke Nukem Forever has been trying to release for almost 12 years, and even a short teaser was released in late 2007 (Seen Below). Read More...

3D Vision With NVidia and Panasonic So you think that the games and movies you watch are 3D. Well at least rendered that way. They are, but your eyes of course still only process it still in 2D. Meaning you don't get any depth processed into your brain. That is where the two above companies stepped up and said "Hey! Lets go one step further." It is official guys, Duke Nukem 3D will be hitting your 360 very soon as a XBLA title.  3DRealms has officially announced that it has been completed for some time and passed final certification with Microsoft as of August 15th. The game will feature online co-op and multiplayer deathmatches and will have 12 achievement points (9 offline, 3 online).  There is no scheduled release date for the game as of yet, but 3DRealms said to expect game previews to pop up online by August 26th.  Price has also not been announced, but you can expect it to be between 800 ($10) and 1200 ($15) Microsoft Points, which falls in line with most XBLA releases. Microsoft Excel: Revolutionary 3D Game Engine? Ok, I've been coding in Excel for some time now. I've thought that I have pushed the limits on what the program can do and such.
