Pokémon X And Y Announced

With a predicted release in October, X and Y will be the sixth generation to hit the states. A trailer for the game was released that shows the new style, as well as the new starts. This time around there is the fox-like fire-type Fennekin, frog-like water-type Froakie, and the weasel(?)-like grass-type Chespin. Also in the trailer are two, as-of-yet unnamed Pokémon that we can probably assume are the series' legendaries: one a blue elk, and the other a red hawk.

In the trailer we see some amazing growths in scenery and animation. The overworld looks detailed and dynamic, and in battle animations are much more intricate, much like what we've seen in Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Battle Revolution.

Now I know what you're thinking, "X and Y aren't colors." And you're right. But let's look past that little oversight and look forward to the new territory that Game Freak can be reaching with these new titles.

The trailer and a few screen shots can be found here.

What do you hope they add to X and Y?
