Yet another game that has had the Multiplayer mode stapled to it. You all know how I feel about that. But this time it looks like Capcom has done it in a way that could overly help with the game instead of detract. At least as story goes. The Civil War saga in the Marvel universe has been one of the best stories to grace comic books in quite some time. It's a great story that is an allegorical commentary in the wake of 9/11 and The Patriot Act. In the storyline, a Superhuman, Nitro, goes nuclear in Stamford, Connecticut, killing hundreds during a reality TV show. A TV show that was like COPS but following the New Warriors. Once this happens, the US public demands that Superhumans answer for their actions and the Superhuman Registration Act is put in place forcing heroes to come out and show who they are. Read More...

In Assassin's Creed the missions were awesome the first time you played the mission type. After the 20th time you had to find an informant before you could go and assassinate someone it got very repetitive. I know I got bored with these missions very fast and wouldn't have completed the game had it not been for a very intriguing story. But that was the saving grace for me. That and my unmatched need to finish a game while grabbing all the little story elements as possible. Read More...

It is the job of trailers to get people excited about the product coming out. It's generally short version of the awesome that is in store for you when you get the full version. I'm nauseous just watching the video. Just Cause 2, which will be release in 2010, is already turning some heads by it's awesome new style of gun toting gameplay. The game is not only beautifully rendered, but it gives such a stunning realism while in the air that players could probably spend all day base jumping off mountains or buildings and be completely satisfied by the gameplay. Honestly it reminds me of Pilot Wings for the Nintendo 64, but with more action, guns, and death from above. As I was walking around the PAX show floor, I happen to nearly walk by this Gem of a game. This is a game that seemed to nearly go un-notice at PAX 2009. The more I hear and read about Bayonetta, the more I can appreciate the game for what it is - or what it potentially will be. You've heard how the protagonist essentially becomes more and more naked with different attacks, and how her hair transforms into weapons, and how the game contains "Torture Combos", "Witch Time", and "Non-Stop Climax Action". However, what you don't know is that I actually met with Sega for a game similar in both tone and style which I dubbed Thana-Nude the Pistolista. My game, which contained "Hot Sticky Combination Attacks", "Uncomfortable Whimpering Time", as well as "Parent Angering Immoral Fatal Thrust Strikes", focused on Thana-Nude - a 'death fairy ronin' who fell from the sky after the great seperation of the Lost Tombs of Zeebs in the Seventh Ascenion. As Ubisoft promised, just before PAX we are given the little gem of an Assassin's Creed 2 gameplay video. Why they did it before, I have no clue. But I'm not going to complain and neither will you after you get to see how awesome the new game has shaped up.
