So it should seem no real shock that another great survival horror - in this case Dead Space 2 - has taken on the need for multiplayer. Not a first for the franchise if you think back to the Wii rail-shooter Dead Space: Extraction, but that wasn't truly a survival horror, was it? This time, they are adding the coveted multiplayer to the actual survival horror of the franchise. Don't believe me? Then check out the trailer below that EA and Visceral Games have given to us.

Ok, so this multiplayer actually looks pretty cool. Play as a team of humans with all the gear and rigs Isaac has made famous or play as any of the multitude of necromorphs that stalk the ships. Granted it only has been shown the basic capture the flag type of multiplayer, but there is still a lot of time between now and the launch of Dead Space 2. Maybe they will add in the Basket Ball game from Dead Space as a "map" and type for the multiplayer. Am I wishing too much?
