It's Time To Get All Nostalgic For Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
It may not be anything new but we have the intro cinematic for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. Well for Final Fantasy X HD Remaster at least. With Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster landing next week (3/18/14) on the PS3 it is time to get all nostalgic for the game that came out in 2001. Final Fantasy X to be a bit more specific here as below we have the intro cinematic for the game with all of the new ads for the HD collection. Just to make sure that some of you younger readers know this is a full CGI trailer that is pretty much the exact same that came out in 2001 and not something new for Final Fantasy X due to updates. Given that though, it is still damn impressive and one of my favorite intros to a game in general. Read More...

Rumor Mill: New Mirror’s Edge 2 Details
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Some new Mirror’s Edge 2 rumors have surfaced online. They are unverified but lets take a look at them. So many "leaks" lately and this time we have some new leaked info for Mirror’s Edge 2. Yea, Mirror’s Edge 2. A game that many gamers, myself included, have been waiting for while EA and DICE had been coy about until last year's E3 when it was announced and they were still coy about everything. Well is would seem that someone over at Rocket Chainsaw claims to have some new insider information that they can confirm. EA and DICE obviously, like every other publisher/developer out there, do not comment on rumors and speculation. Read More...

Review: The Walking Dead: Season 2 — A House Divided
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of March 2014 - 05:02 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review The Walking Dead Season 2 - A House Divided. It's The Second Episode. Does It Keep The Steamroller Of A Franchise Rolling? The short wait is over and it is time to continue where Episode One left our little group of survivors in the middle of the end of times. There is a lot going on this time around as the 'villain' of the season has been presented and taken a leading role. Here we go with a hopefully spoiler free review of this episode. Should you be downloading and playing through it right now even with all of the other great titles out? Read More...

Review: Castlevania Lords Of Shadow 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Castlevania Lords Of Shadow 2. This is the supposed finale to this iteration of the franchise but does it end on a high note? It is been a long time coming but I finally got to play Castlevania Lords Of Shadow 2 in all of its glory and non-demo version. I've been a bit worried about the visuals of the game as well as the controls since I first laid hands on the first build. You can imagine that I wanted to put this to the test and see if this would be the way that Mercury Steam wanted to end the Lords of Shadow story. Let's bite into this review already and see if the franchise has been bled dry or if there is still a bit of immortality left. Read More...

Also the new episode will release on March 4th Well that didn't take too long for Telltale to get the next episode for The Walking Dead out. Just under three months and we are continuing the saga of Clementine and the undead. Hopefully we will get an answer to the cliffhanger of who she thought was dead in the first episode. If You Thought Zombies Were Bad, Wait Until Evolve
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 24th of February 2014 - 06:02 PM ]
It is time to "Evolve." From the creators of Left 4 Dead comes an exciting new first and third-person shooter; Evolve. One might ask: how can a game be both? Well in first-person mode three other players and you team up to take down a monster, while the other person controls the monster from a third-person perspective. Some of these monsters look absolutely terrifying. My favorite monster so far is a 30 foot tall snarling beast with spikes. Read More...

Are There Any Games That Make The Wii U Worth It?
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Friday, 21st of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Games make a console worthwhile but are there any that will revitalize the Wii U? Any that will 'sale' the console? I am a huge Nintendo fan but it has really gone downhill for me in the past two console generations. This brings me to the question, "Are there any games that make the Wii U worth buying?" I am not the typical Nintendo guy who gets a new system every time a Pokémon, Zelda, Mario, or Smash Bros. game comes out. Read More...

While Wasteland 2 is available through early access on Steam, its creator, inXile founder Brian Fargo, released statements saying the game is in its "Final Stretch" of development. He has giving us a three month window for the game to be polished up. Note that the three month window is not a final deadline. Other good news; the Mac version will get a release alongside the PC version. Read More...

A New Venture For Irrational Games' Ken Levine
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Thursday, 20th of February 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
Irrational Games is shutting down. What is next on the plate for Ken Levine and the BioShock franchise? A story broke today that Ken Levine is starting a new venture inside Take-Two. In his message on Irrational's official site he stated that he wants to go back to having a smaller team that creates narrative driven game for the core gaming audience. Much like how the first BioShock game played. "While I'm deeply proud of what we've accomplished together, my passion has turned to making a different kind of game than we've done before. Harmonix Is Making A FPS Called Chroma? Say What?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of February 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Chroma is the latest title that has been announced from Harmonix; the minds behind Rock Band… When you hear that Harmonix is working on a new title one would think some kind of rhythm title and not an FPS but that is what we are getting with the recently announced Chroma. Yes, the Rock Band/Dance Central legends are moving on to a FPS. Granted it is a 'music-driven' FPS title but still. This is not completely what I expected from the company. Read More...

Oh, How I Wish Bayonetta 2 Wasn't A Wii U Exclusive
by Julia Schoebel [ Tuesday, 18th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
There is a new trailer for Bayonetta 2, a game that is exclusive to the Wii U only. This is going to hurt the sale of the game… It really hurts that the title of this new Bayonetta 2 trailer is titled Did you miss me? because I do. I also will miss you when you finally launch exclusively on the Wii U this summer. It still breaks my heart that Bayonetta 2 is a Wii U exclusive as I don't think it fits the console; also the fact that I don't own one and don't think that Bayonetta 2 is going to change my opinion on owning one. But enough of the sad stuff. Read More...

Evolve Is Not Really Evolving Multiplayer, But It Works
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
We have some new details on Evolve, the upcoming 4v1 shooter from Turtle Rock Studios. Trailer and screen shots galore. So when I hear a game is going to be multiplayer heavy as is the case with Evolve, I normally cringe. I also usually think of just giving a blanket pass on the title as well. But with what I have been seeing and reading from Evolve my interest has been piqued again. Just in case you don't know what the game is about here's a short history lesson. Originally it was going to be published by THQ and was called Wild. Read More...

Final Fantasy X Wants In On The Valentine's Love Too
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of February 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
New trailer for Final Fantasy X/X2 showing off the love story just in time for the holiday of love; Valentine's Day. Not to be left out of the Valentine's Day love, the HD versions of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 coming to the Vita on March 18th have also unleashed a trailer showcasing the love story in the game. You know, as a way to try and fool your loved one who might not like the franchise into thinking it is for all and the holiday. I guess… But that is assuming you have a partner who is into all the mushy gushy and doesn't like Final Fantasy. Read More...
