Hammer Comes Down On Xbox Live Cheaters We all hate cheaters don't we? We all like to have a good laugh at someone when they get busted right? Its funny cause it's not me is a great saying. Well Microsoft is giving us two awesome things then. They are cracking down on cheaters or those who tamper with their Gamerscore and Achievements. How they are cracking down is listed below, but the best part is the sample they gave of how the account will be labeled on their community pages and the in dash views. I almost cried laugh at first. Rock Band On Wii June 22nd Before I get accused of having a hard on for Rock Band, let me say...Ok well I do. But that isn't why I've posted all the news on it. There is just so much going on with this game in general. There is something new about it every week. Sometimes it almost seems like every day. But I digest. :) But as the title and the release below state, they have set the release date for the game on the Wii. Read More...

Boston Rock Band DLC So I like being the barer of fun news. That and I like giving you all the fun new stuff I run across. And it looks like Harmonix posted a little earlier than they usually do, the new downloads for next week. Much like the Grateful Dead pack, except it is Boston this time around. Some of the songs sound like will pretty fun on guitar. Not as brutal as Thrasher, but just another good 6 to add to the already large list of songs that are available on Rock Band. Read More...

Best Buy Is Onboard With Reimbursing For HD Ok, so 2 weeks ago I mentioned about how Circuit City is helping those who got shafted with an HD player. Click Here to read. But it looks like Best Buy is going to hook up the cut as well, and then some. I love to see how one company is trying to one up the other and us consumers can reap the benni from it. So here's the skinny. First, they are going to be sending out $50 gift cards to people who bought HD players or HD-DVD Attachments. Read More...

Pre-Register with Squenix Members This is for all you die hard Squenix fans. Looks like they are opening up their Member program in the States next week. On the 24th to be exact. As of right now, they are letting those in the know to register their names and accounts to this service. Kind of to let those fans get first crack at their Usernames and such before it goes fully live. Already snagged up Hades on there if anyone was thinking of sniping it from me. :) There is no full word on what exactly will be coming with the Membership program. Read More...

Rock Band Multiple Updates Ok, so instead of doing a bunch of different write-ups on this topic, I figured I would just lump them all together into one. 3 is a charm here. First, Rock Band just announced that they have sold over 6 million DLC songs since the games release. That of course is just insane to think about. At least to me. I probably wouldn't have believed it if it wasn't for the press release that they sent out about it all. Read More...

PS3 Firmware v2.20 To Bring BD-LIVE and More Not too big of news, but I know some people will care about it. At least those who either own or are a fan boy of the system. But it has just been discussed about what the next FW update will include. No In-Game XMB, but the BD information is pretty nice to know. Especially since the 2.0 version of the format now has disks that hold up to 100GB of data. Read More...

New Rock Band DLC For you Rock Band fans out there. Here is the new content due out this week. Days depend on the system you are playing on of course. But I am actually thrilled to see the list. Well more thrilled to hear the songs. First time I have heard them, but they sound like they will be brutal for the game. I am also glad to see that Harmonix is also adding in a few harder tracks to the game list. It still is not Still Alive, that was shown at the GDC, but still. Read More...

MMOvie: Installment 1 Ok, I know I appreciate things like this, so I though you all would as well. Probably one of the funniest Machinima shorts I have seen in a while, well at least since Red vs. Blue. It also seems to be released in the same fashion as well. This is only a ten minute chunk of what is actually going to be a full length feature film. So get your Goobers or Raisinettes. A Small drink and enjoy the first ten minutes of what looks to be an awesome film once it is fully completed. Read More...

Metal Gear Online beta test schedule changed to April 14 I go away for a few days and the interwebs blow up on me and now I'm back logged. But that's...ok... That just means I get to come back and bring some fun good news with me. Like say for instance, the previously announced Metal Gear Online beta test is now scheduled for a week earlier. Awesome right? So now it will be out come the 14th of April now instead of the 21st. Read More...

Metal Gear Movie Like the title says, lets try to keep it hush hush from him. We don't need him taking this and turning out crap with it. So far he doesn't score to well with Game movies. But that is not the point of this little snippet of information. It is to talk about a movie that could be pretty F*cking cool. So far it has been just a big bag of rumor, but it looks like the rumor might become total truth. Columbia Pictures looks to actually go through with this whole thing. Read More...

George Miller, Cory Barlog Working On Mad Max Game Maybe it is just me, but I think this is awesome. Mad Max the game. I mean come on. If you haven't seen the film, I recommend picking it up for at least a rent. NetFlix == Friend. For those who do know what I am talking about, here's the skinny. Writer/Director/Producer George Miller has gotten balls deep in Video Games. And he thought, "Hey there is some stuff I could do with digital media that I couldn't with film. Read More...

Unreal Engine 4 Targeting Consoles As I am sure a lot of you are, you have seen or played with the Unreal 3 Engine. I know I got overly excited when I first saw it back in my college days, not too long ago but still. Needless to say, but I'm still going to say it, it was beautiful and I couldn't look more forward to it. Now this drops out there in cyber land and I am actually curious to see it. That and it will go mainly toward Consoles instead of for PC games, at first. Read More...

Viacom withdraws 'Guitar' suit I thought that this was all handled and now here it kind of goes again. I'm talking about the Harmonix vs. Activision thing in case you are actually reading this before clicking the link. It looks like this time around it was Harmonix slapping one down on Activision for not abiding by the contract they all agreed on. It looks like Activision signed off on paying royalties for the GH franchise and is not paying what they said they would be. This of course led to what it always does, Court Time. Read More...

Viacom withdraws 'Guitar' suit Just goes to show you that when things look down, something good comes along to pick ya back up. And for any PS3 owner, here is a good one for ya. It looks that Sony is sending out e-mails to people who have registered their unit (Heh, I said unit.), that they can register in for the open beta for their new social network Home. So far, this e-mail has only been seen by members of the Official European PlayStation Forums. The report makes it seem like there is more than just one person stating this, at least out of Europe.
