World Of Warcraft, Control An Army of Your Own!
by Robert [ Tuesday, 14th of October 2008 - 05:55 PM ]
Sometimes partying with a few people in World of Warcraft can be frustrating, how can you convince 4 other people to do what you want? This problem was solved by a unique fad in World of Warcraft called multi-boxing. When you are a multi-boxer, you spend lots of money and time to level up more than one character (usually around 3-4) and set up your PC to control all characters at once. A lot of the fan base feels this is cheating, others praise the skill involved, and Blizzard turns a blind eye, stating that they consider it legitimate. Well, World of Warcraft player Bradster has decided that he is sick of trying to convince 40 other people to join a raid with him and attack faction cities, Bradster has decided to take multi-boxing to a new level, controlling a total of 36 characters at once (all shaman). Biohazard In The Home
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of October 2008 - 04:07 PM ]
Resident Evil 5 Getting PSHome Lounge So If you look at the most recent posting about PSHome, you can see that I am not all that enthused about PSHome any more. It has been way too long of a tease for something that doesn't seem to be well received by Sony fans. But that is not what I am here to bring up. I am here to bring up something that is peaking my interest back in it. That is the specific Game Lounges that will come out within Home and the most recent one announced at the TGS. Read More…

RUMOR MILL: Guess What Else Comes Out Nov 19th Along With NXE
by Ben Brody [ Monday, 13th of October 2008 - 05:32 AM ]
Oh c'mon why wouldn't they pull that. The Inquirer reports that on November 19th of this year, Sony's Playstation Home will be unleashed to the public, coincidentally on the same exact day that Microsoft drops it's New XBOX Experience for its XBOX 360 console. While Home is certainly more substansial (it's a whole virtual world where you can walk around, play games, watch movies, and more, semi-akin to second life), where as NXE is more of a looks-rather-than-content update, both are being heavily looked forward to. While people who live close to each other in real life probably won't substitute going to somebody's PS Home versus going to their real home, it does offer a great solution for people who live across the country. The world you ask? Read More…

Gears of War 2 Goes Gold
by Andy [ Friday, 10th of October 2008 - 04:07 PM ]
Microsoft and Epic Games, Inc. announced today that “Gears of War 2,” the blockbuster action sequel to the five million unit selling original, has gone gold.   “After two years of pouring our heart and passion into ‘Gears of War 2,’ the team is immensely happy with what we’ve created,” said Epic Games Design Director Cliff Bleszinski. "This is Epic’s best work yet, and we can’t wait to see the response from fans and newcomers to the series alike.” “Gears of War 2” tells the story of humanity's last stand against the nightmarish, underground Locust Horde, and is the follow-up to one of the most popular Xbox 360 games in history. No More Heroes 2 set for 2010
by Sam [ Friday, 10th of October 2008 - 03:53 PM ]
Just came across this depressing news while browsing Kombo. It looks like the recently announced sequel won't be hitting store shelves for quite a while. A Marvelous Entertainment press release for NMH2 shows a 2010 release for the game, which would be a 2 year gap from the original which was released in January. I actually enjoyed the first one. I don't see why a lot of peoeple gave it a low rating. Read More…

TGS 08: XBOX 360 NXE to be released November 19
by Ben Brody [ Thursday, 9th of October 2008 - 07:19 PM ]
So you're 360 is pretty cool right? Well it's about to a lot cooler on Nov 19 with the release of the highly anticipated NXE which is short for New XBOX Experience. If you live under a rock and haven't heard about it, it's a whole new dashboard replacement (just click the link and it'll take you to an example NXE) along with avatars, which Microsoft claims to have thought of before Nintendo's Mii's. Additional features include being able to load a game to a hard drive (you still need the disc in the drive to play but you can expect higher frame rates and quicker load times), the ability to win Microsoft Points by playing arcade style games, access to Netflix movies, and more. Be sure to check out all the other TGS 08 happenings! Read More…

Portal REALLY Still Alive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of October 2008 - 03:29 PM ]
Download Portal: Prelude I mentioned a little while ago about a group of people getting together and doing a prequel to Portal. All original stuff leading up to the first game. Something like 400+ original lines of voice acting and such to that. Well the wait for this is now over. As of yesterday, you are now able to download the first build of these prequel levels to the game. It is a pretty big, well relatively big, download of almost 800 MB through Fileplanet right now, but they are looking for more mirrors for download. So feel free to download and try this extra content and post a review. Read More…

Sweet Sweet Touchdown
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of October 2008 - 03:17 PM ]
No More Heroes 2 - Desperate Struggle Yes, if you read the line above this, you know what is coming. Yes, there is going to be a sequel to the first game. If you have yet to play it, DEFINITELY give it a go. I didn't hop on at first. In fact it took a sweet little innocent ex-roommate of mine to inform me of how cool the game was. Had my reservations at first, but then I felt like kicking myself afterward. Now if only there was more than just this teaser out for it. Read More…

by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 8th of October 2008 - 10:13 PM ]
A Sony exec, namely Patrick Seybold, told potential Playstation 3 consumers that no holiday price cuts, let alone permanent, would be in the works as it would cost the company too much money. *FACTOID: Sony made $88.7 billion in revenue last fiscal year while Microsoft, whose company recently permanently dropped prices of their XBOX 360's at least $50, made $60.4 Billion in revenue last fiscal year, $28.3 billion less than Sony* While people with an HDTV are getting a 2 for 1 with the $399. LucasArts and BioWare to Hold Joint Press Conference to Unveil “New Game” on October 21st
by Ben Brody [ Wednesday, 8th of October 2008 - 05:07 AM ]
October 21st, 2008 at 2pm at a location that will be kept secret due to the fact that if it were revealed then all you nerds would go bum-rush it. No, it's 99.9% likely to NOT be an announcement about Full Throttle 2, as nice as it would be, but much much much MUCH more likely to be the widely rumored KOTOR MMO (aka the worst kept secret in the biz). Rumors of the existence of such a game began back last October when "a source close to BioWare" said that the MMO that BioWare was currently working on was going to take place in the KOTOR realm. That same source also said the game was targeted for a 2009 release, which would time up perfectly to this announcement. Read More…
