Although EA is still in the early process of game development. So early in fact they have not decided what type of venue will be used, cage or ring. EA has hinted that they could use both, to encompass a larger range of the worldwide sports phenomenon.
EA has no fear that this new MMA game will succeed even though it will be up against the already popular UFC franchise. There is still room for the MMA and all of its fighters from around the world. If you've been keeping up with the Mixed martial arts forums you might have seen the rumors flying around that UFC would blacklist any fighters who sign up to be in this game. A bit harsh if you ask me. I mean come on it's just a game. EA says they have had no trouble signing fighters even with the threat of blacklisting looming in the air.
Fighters to be included will be Fedor Emelianenko, Jay Hieron, Renato "Babalu" Sobral, Gegard Mousas, Cung Le, and Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal. Be on the lookout for more info in the coming months.
