by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of March 2024 - 07:00 PM ]
Starship Troopers A new expansion is on the way to Starship Troopers: Terran Command to take the fight to Earth for all of our Starship Troopers The fun of Starship Troopers: Terran Command is going to be expanding a bit more with the next DLC on its way to us this June. The next DLC that will have us looking at a whole new area of the IP with The Artistocrats bringing the fight deeper into the mix. If you have not jumped into the bug-squashing fun of the Starship Troopers universe with this title yet, it might be time to do that so you can be fully ready when Slitherine brings us the Urban Onslaught. As long as it is able to stick to that June release timeline and we do not miss it in the mix of the other titles and DLC that will be out around the same time. Read More...

Starship Troopers: Terran Command Has Been Delayed Just A Bit Longer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of March 2022 - 07:00 PM ]
Starship Troopers The release date for Starship Troopers: Terran Command is now a few more months out for fans wanting more Starship Troopers in life The wait is going to continue for everyone looking forward to Starship Troopers: Terran Command to hit the PC. Originally, the game was slated to hit us all on March 31st, but it looks as if The Artistocrats and Slitherine will need a bit more time to make sure the game is ready for us. Thankfully, as dictated by the teams, this will also be the final date for Starship Troopers: Terran Command so we should not expect any more delays for it. That date is now set down as June 16th for us all now, so we just need to wait a few more months for it all. Read More...

Starship Troopers: Terran Command Blends Its Music Deeper Into The Fight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of December 2021 - 06:00 PM ]
Starship Troopers Have a better feel for Starship Troopers: Terran Command with a bit of new technology to make our Starship Troopers feel a bit more badass Work is still flowing out there for Starship Troopers: Terran Command, even if it feels like it has been a good clip since we had something solid for the game. That is always a mixed bag, as it does indicate that The Artistocrats and Slitherine are hard at work on the game over cutting fun little promos to remind us the game is still coming. It just also means that unless you are paying close attention to all things Starship Troopers, you might forget it is heading to the PC soon. Read More...

Starship Troopers: Terran Command Announced, Would You Like To Know More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of December 2019 - 06:00 PM ]
Starship Troopers A new RTS title set in the Starship Troopers universe is coming as we have the announcement for Starship Troopers: Terran Command Here we go with a game that should have been made years ago, as Starship Troopers: Terran Command is announced and heading to us on our PC sometime in 2020. Most of you might not even know what the franchise is as it has not really been in the mainstream since the 90s but that has not stopped Slitherine from tapping The Artistocrats from putting their RTS skills to work. Not that we have not seen games in the same vein of Starship Troopers since then, but now we have one that is specifically placed in the franchise and building off the story and events of the first film. Just In Case You Wanted To Go Hands Free Here Is There Came An Echo
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new gameplay trailer for There Came An Echo shows off the voice commands in the War Room mode of the game Who needs the Kinect or the PS Camera when you can control every aspect of a game with your voice like in There Came An Echo? Yes, this feature has been in many other titles in the past and it has been met with great criticism and hatred but why not try it again? It was talked about for There Came An Echo before but we have yet to see anything in the way of actual voice command working for the game. That was until now… (Queue epic movie voice) In the below trailer we actually get to see all of those promised voice commands in work for There Came An Echo. Read More...

Where Is The Teamwork When You Need It?
by Kenton Winkfield [ Tuesday, 19th of March 2013 - 06:59 PM ]
In a world full of Halos and Call of Dutys where players can be a one man army and carry their entire team to victory, how is it games like Army of Two, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, or even Battlefield manage to have such a large player base? The amount of people who group together isn't as large as it would seem. People, like me, don't have friends to play these games with because our friends either don't buy the game or trade it in shortly after it's released. So now I run into team based games alone and I'm forced to group up with people who either don't have a microphone or sit in a party with their friends who are playing different games. Read More...

A Date With Capcom At CES
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of January 2011 - 05:20 PM ]
CES is generally not known for the game developers rocking out their new products and IPs. That is what E3 is for and we all know that. Capcom likes to break the mold and show up in force every year just to spread a bit more of the word on all of their upcoming titles. In this case, the titles were Marvel vs. Capcom 3, MotoGP 10/11, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and Okamiden - all of which I was able to put hands on. Let the impressions begin! Read More...

Review: UFC Undisputed 2010
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 3rd of June 2010 - 05:02 PM ]
UFC surprised us with a lovely right hook with last year's title UFC Undisputed 2009. A year later THQ gives us the slogan “So you wanna be a Fighter” with this year's release of UFC Undisputed 2010. Yeah the name hasn't changed much, but the game certainly has. If you do not know what UFC is by now then you seriously have been living under a rock - especially with names like Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, Royce Gracie, Randy Couture, George St. Pierre (GSP for short), Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock. Names made famous cause of UFC. Read More...

Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2 Comin' At You In 2011
by 345 [ Tuesday, 20th of April 2010 - 07:10 PM ]
This is quite possibly the most miraculous announcement coming out of Captivate '10. Sure, there was that other little game that apparently was a big deal, but for me it's all about the return of Rad Spencer and some of the guys from GRIN, albeit under a different studio name. Fat Shark Games will be keeping Rearmed 2 true to the original, though some new things will be thrown into the mix, including jumping and more physics-based puzzles. Simon Viklund, who did the music for Bionic Commando: Rearmed and Final Fight: Double Impact will be returning to do the score as well, which is very exciting to hear. The one thing that is unclear at this point is whether or not the coop will be online or not, as the original was purely local coop play. Read More...

Command & Conquer™ 4 Fact Sheet You want updated facts for Command & Conquer 4? We got the cold hard facts about the final game in the franchise. Well it's about time...Pyro Studios, creators of the famed Commandos series, is set to release a new Commandos game more in line with the first title in this WWII strategy franchise. How many of you recall the critically low scoring FPS shooter that was Commandos: Strike Force? Yeah, even Pyro Studios was less than enthusiastic about the title. Well, players will be happy to know that this time around they are going to be bringing back all the tactical gameplay that players knew and loved. No word as to how much Commandos publisher Eidos will be involved. Read More...

UFC 2009: Undisputed Review
by Jesse [ Saturday, 30th of May 2009 - 12:18 AM ]
It’s taken years for mixed martial arts as a sport to grow into the worldwide phenomenon that it is today and much of the success is thanks to the efforts of the Ultimate Fighting Championship which has become the largest fighting league in the world. But if there’s one thing that’s been missing is an MMA video game that captures the spirit and the essence of the sport without having to step into the cage and get your face smashed in. There have been half a dozen attempts in the past, but nothing really seemed to work. Thankfully all that is about to change with UFC 2009: Undisputed. Read More...

The Fighting Styles of UFC 2009: Undisputed
by Jesse [ Thursday, 14th of May 2009 - 10:08 PM ]
Earlier in the week I explored the three striking fighting styles in UFC 2009: Undisputed and whether you choose Boxing, Kickboxing, or Muay Thai, each has their own strengths and weaknesses. But standing on the feet is only one half of Undisputed. Every fighter on the roster and every fighter you create will also be able to make use of one of the three grappling fighting styles along with one of the three striking styles. For those thinking of taking the fight to the ground though, understand that there are more ways to win a match than on your feet. When striking it’s always about the knockout. Read More...
