New Screen Shots For The Evil Within Shows Us Water Monsters
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of April 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A few new screen shots for The Evil Within have popped up on the internet. This time showing off a new monster type. We may not have more news for The Evil Within but we do have a few new screen shots for the game. I wish I had more given all of the bad "previews" that have been abound the internet from the other sites that require payment to give good news; but I don't. Instead just these four new shots that kind of show off a bit of the atmosphere and enemies in the game. At least both are perceived to be enemies and there is nothing more than the huge fanged monster roaring Sebastian and the other is Boxman. Read More…

Creating The Authentic Alien Universe For Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for Alien Isolation has been released showing the care in creating the 70's Sci-Fi in a modern age. Let's mark this new developer diary for Alien Isolation a step in the right direction. At least in my book. Sega and Creative Assembly have just released a new dev diary showcasing how they are trying to stay true to the original limitations that the Alien films had for Alien Isolation. It is always funny to look back at older films and see how under advanced the future is supposed to be due to the real world tech at the times. For instance, Alien is supposed to be set around 2119 yet there are no crazy holograms or AR displays due to the limitations of the tech in the 70's. Read More…

PC Gaming On A Budget? Let Me Help You Build That
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Wednesday, 16th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Let us answer the age old question of how to build a gaming PC on a budget. For many people the thought of a gaming PC might seem pricey but most people don’t realize that depending on the budget anyone can have a Gaming PC. In fact some PC builders challenge themselves to make a PC for under $100. Two phrases I use when it comes to PCs’ are “Over time you can always get better for less” and ”You get what you pay for”. The second phrase is to remind people a $300 PC is not going to run a game like Battlefield 4 at 150 fps on max settings. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Gamefly has listed a date for the release of The Last Of Us Remastered through their service. Could this be fact? The Last Of Us Remastered just can't stay out of the rumor mill can it? Even though it has been officially announced and had the official statement from Sony and Naughty Dog that they will not be holding back as they have news to give we still find more. This time around it is a suspected release date. A release date of June 20th 2014 if a pre-order page on Gamefly is to be believed as non-placeholder status. Read More…

The Beautiful World Of Child Of Light's Lemuria
by Julia Schoebel [ Tuesday, 15th of April 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Child Of Light shows off the game's world, levels, and puzzles. If there is one thing I love it is a serene look at a game's world and Child Of Light does not let me down in that area. In fact this some of the most beautiful looking world that I have seen since Journey. That was a great combination of visuals and audio that brought me to tears with emotion and I have a feeling that will be the case with Child Of Light. Watch the following trailer and tell me that you don't think the same thing. It is absolutely gorgeous. Read More…

Rumor Mill: Assassin's Creed Comet Leads Us Back To Ancient Rome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of April 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
New rumors have cropped up stating that the rumored Assassin's Creed Comet will take place in Ancient Rome. New rumors about Assassin's Creed Comet rumors have cropped up all based off something stated during an interview with Jade Raymond (Managing Director at Ubisoft Toronto) on The Grid. There is a bit of a stretch taken by other news and blogs sites out there based off one quote but it would be extremely interesting and would give away the next location after Assassin's Creed Unity's French Revolution. Here is the quote based off the question Why has [Assassin's Creed] been so huge? I think the key to a popular game is a good core fantasy. Read More…

No World Of Darkness MMO As Well As More Layoffs In The Industry
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
CCP has just announced that the World Of Darkness MMO has been canceled. Among other things… It has been over two years now since we last heard about the World Of Darkness MMO and any updates. In fact the last time we heard about anything for this game was that it was definitely still in the works and that we should be expecting it. This straight from the Senior Producer's (Chris McDonough) mouth and in turn CCP. So it is sad news for me to talk about the latest announcement that the World Of Darkness MMO is no longer in the works and that we have yet another rash of layoffs in the gaming industry. Mind Freak Title Neverending Nightmares Needs To Come Sooner
by Andrew "Irradiccus" Franks [ Monday, 14th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A brief history of Neverending Nightmares and what it took to bring us an amazing demo and release window. An artist can always use his bleakest moment to shine, they can take the pain, the agony, distraught even the misery they accumulate then create their unique masterpiece with blood, sweat and tears. Matt Gilgenbach’s latest accomplishment Neverending Nightmares is the result of this formula. Suffering from both OCD and depression he wanted to create an experience that was personal to him; an experience that allowed you to step into the shoes of those who suffer from these mental illnesses. From The People Who Brought You Guacamelee!… Here's Severed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
DrinkBox Studios has announced there next title, Severed, and we have a trailer. When I hear the name Severed for a game title I automatically think survival horror or something alike. DrinkBox Studios apparently has a different idea with a FPS gesture based fantasy game. Quite a different stretch given the title but I was a huge fan of Guacamelee! that I will be willing to give it chance given my odd expectations. In fact, let us take a look at the first trailer for Severed and see how it is looking and how the gameplay will pan out a bit. Read More…

New Caffeine Trailer To Make You Afraid Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Caffeine, a Sci-Fi Horror adventure, has been released to help with funding. As it would seem the case we are going to be looking at another smaller title, Caffeine, due to all of the focus elsewhere in the gaming industry today. Some of you may have heard about it. Some of you may not have. No matter the case, here is a new look at what Incandescent Imaging has been cooking up in the Unreal Engine 4 since the original Unreal 3 demo was released online. It looks like a lot has been done in the matter of a month and there is still more to go. Read More…
