This Week In Video Games 9/7/15 — 9/11/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of September 2015 - 11:14 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It has been a shorter week in the video games world here but that still doesn't mean we didn't get to what we could. It did allow for us to play catch-up on all of those video games we had sitting around or just launched here recently. Only now we get to look forward to titles like Rock Band 4, Hellblade, and The Wither 3's DLC that are all coming. At least based on all of the video games we had to cover this week even though, like I said, it was shortened by the most recent American holiday and we took a break to play some video games. New information surrounding Rock Band 4's career mode and customization for characters have been revealed to make Rock Band 4 very RPG-ish By now you've most likely heard the statement that Rock Band 4's new Career Mode has a lot of elements that feel standard for an RPG. Well at least in the way of dictating how the story of your band goes from underground nobodies to the megastars like Vesuvius. Then again you may not have heard about this being the case here in Rock Band 4 from Harmonix. Get ready to sit back and take in some new knowledge for Rock Band 4 then as we have quite a bit more to drop on you before October 6th when the game hits PS4 and Xbox One. Read More...

The Nightmare Of Batman: Arkham Knight On PC Is Almost Over
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of September 2015 - 07:01 PM ]
A new interim patch for Batman: Arkham Knight on PC has been released so current owners can start taking down the Arkham Knight already The light can be seen at the end of the tunnel for those still suffering from the issues of Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. It looks like Rocksteady Games has finally been able to get that patch together to fix some of the issues that plagued Batman: Arkham Knight and Warner Bros. have released it out in the wild. At least released it out for those who have already purchased Batman: Arkham Knight as it makes the game 'playable' by PC gamer standards and there is a lot more to go until it is available again for purchase on Steam. Rock Band 4 Shows That The Cake Is Not A Lie With New Tracks
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Ten new tracks have been added to Rock Band 4's on disk listing with some obscure bands and other favorites sure to make Rock Band 4 amazing October 6th is getting closer every day and that means Rock Band 4 is getting closer and closer to launch too. We've already had a wide spread of songs revealed for the game from Harmonix and today we have a few more. Ten more Rock Band 4 songs to be exact and these of course are going to be on the disc and not DLC tracks. This puts at about 44 songs on the Rock Band 4 disc by my count and that is ignoring all of the DLC we will have to carry over to the PS4 and Xbox One when that release date finally comes. Look Out For The Jackal In Evolve's Hunting Season 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of August 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
A new hunter for Evolve has been released and is currently available for Evolve's Hunting Season 2 DLC pack The hunt continues on as Evolve's second major DLC push brings us yet another Trapper to play with in the game. This would be part of the Hunting Season 2 DLC push that Turtle Rock Studios has been working on to keep fans playing Evolve as well as trying to draw in more fans for the game. If only they would have started with a character like Jack, or Jackal, from the start I might still be playing Evolve. Although Now that I see him in action here 2K Games may be seeing my money flying back at them for this next bit of DLC. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 8/3/15 — 8/7/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of August 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games As Gamescom comes to a warp here we too come to wrap up another week in video games. There was so much to take in for this week we didn't get a chance to cover most things that cropped up for the industry at all. We tried our damnedest to do so but we are still just a small and fierce team. When the likes of Rock Band 4, Mad Max, and Final Fantasy XV are hammering us with so much it is hard to cover all video games out there or in the works. Hells, there was also a whole lot of Metal Gear Solid V that was handed out and we were only able to cover so little on it even though it was a huge thing. Read More...

What's Up? Rock Band 4 Gets More Tracks For Centuries That's What
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 3rd of August 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Rock Band 4 gets seventeen new tracks to pad the full list of on disc songs we will be getting with Rock Band 4 It looks like the Rock Band 4 setlist is getting nicely filled out in terms of the on-disc songs we are going to be getting on October 6th. As of today we now have Harmonix has filled it in to 34 songs now with the announcement of seventeen more to the list. I'm going to say that we have at least one more huge announcement of tracks to round it all the way out or a few more smaller Rock Band 4 announcements to make sure that we have at least as many songs on-disc as we have had in past titles. I think we should have about 48 on Rock Band 4 to stay on par with what we've had in the past. Read More...

Hidden Gems In Batman: Arkham Knight Uncovered Based On Dates Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new event and Easter Egg in Batman: Arkham Knight has been discovered although you might want to skip if you want to keep your Batman: Arkham Knight experience spoiler free It really is no surprise that Batman: Arkham Knight has at least one interesting "Easter Egg" that is all based on the current date of the system you are playing on. I mean, Rocksteady Games made it a trophy in their last title in the franchise so it would be safe to assume that something would have to be added in for Arkham Knight right? Even if Calendar Man isn't one of the big bad villains in this game. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/13/15 — 7/17/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of July 2015 - 11:10 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It's been an intense last few weeks in video games and the news and I'm sorry we've missed a few recaps for the week. I blame E3 and SDCC for being so closely crammed together and there being so many new video games and experiences to have to cover. We are small but we are mighty when it comes to covering our video games. If we weren't you wouldn't have had those track listings for both Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero Live to go through here. Rock Band 4's Track List Expands Even Further
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Eleven new tracks have been added to Rock Band 4 to expand the on-disk track list even further We've had a short list of six songs for Rock Band 4 already announced to be on the game's disk when it launches on October 6th for the PS4 and Xbox One. We'll be able to move over all of our downloaded songs without issue, even though they may not all be able to use all the new Rock Band 4 features at launch, but of course we want to have a nice array of songs to play out the gate. Harmonix knows this and they are taking great care to add more to the game disk for Rock Band 4 as well as letting us submit our own ideas for great songs for the game. Even if some of them may end up being DLC after Rock Band 4 launches but still… Well it looks like we get to add eleven more tracks to the list of on-disk tracks for Rock Band 4. Read More...
